Optimus was already pretty well articulated for the time so we could probably apply that to Soundwave. Better neck joint, more shoulder range, hand articulation, ab crunch, better hips and knees, and foot tilts. But what's really exciting is how they'll upgrade the tapes, they'll be taking the place of Bee and Cliff at that price point. Frenzy and Rumble with actual shoulders and knees, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw with vertical wing movements. I'm excited by the potential!

-Kanrabat- wrote:The casettes... If they make the main ones, meaning Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, Frenzy, Rumble, and they pack the whole gang together, we're in for something that will cost the same price or even more than the epic Hasbro MP Soundwave set from years back. But Takara may release Soundwave and Buzzsaw, then a Ravage/Laserbeak 2 pack, and finally, the Frenzy/Rumble 2 pack, like they did for their MP release.
Regardless, it will be pretty costly.
Emerje wrote:The tapes were single packed in Japan so they'd be taking the same price point as Bumblebee and Cliffjumper most likely.
Buzzsaw is going to have to wait for a Soundblaster to get his release. I wonder how they'll do a second release for the Ravage Mold? Would they finally do Cobalt Sentries again?

Emerje wrote:So far all of the Missing Link figures have been packaged the same way as the original Japanese releases (new characters and extra repaints not withstanding) just with new character art.
It's unlikely the tapes would do anything different.

They've already released Sunstreaker by himself when his only Japanese release was originally in a VS set.megatran wrote:Any chance Takara will do Missing Link VS boxset back in the day? Some characters only appeared in VS boxset in Japan, if I'm not mistaken.

There's no telling or predicting what Takara will do with this line. It's a line that thrives on surprise and unpredictability.

Missing Link Fort Max. And Brave Max, just to recoup costs.
When?!
