Guys, ALL listings for Studio Series (and tiny turbo changersseries 3) use Movie 6 (or Bumblebee Movie) as part of their listing. Even if not related. It's just to identify at the retail level which films this line coincides with this year but not an indication of the content.

Thundercracker isn't a real Studio Series figures. It's a crappy movie 5 figure. I had, and sold, Nitro Zues and I just don't understand why so many like it. :???:

Grimlock is horribly simple for a leader class figure. He is barely more than a one step changer. He looks great, I'll admit, and has great size, but I've never been fond of this character or design.

Bumblebee is amazing. This is the figure we should have gotten in 2007 for his '77 Camero mode. I don't seem to have the floppy issues others have, so I love him.

Turns out my Prime arrived today when my order email said it would be this coming Friday. Not complaining, just surprised.

My thoughts about the figure. More fun than I thought it would be. Transformation was reasonably easy without using the instructions. Took me a lil time to figure out how the arms properly fold in for truck mode but was pleased when I did it.

Love the swords as I've not actually had a Voyager Prime with those (missed out on the battle blades one from years ago). It's generally a fun posable figure and I'm glad I bought it even if it hadn't originally been a priority.

Things I don't like? Short smoke stacks. Was hoping they'd be some kinda retractable thing at least. Truck mode is a lil junky on the sides in places but overall not bad. My biggest issue is the LACK OF ROBOT FLAMES. So yes looking forward to Toyhax producing a sticker sheet as you can see in one of my photos below where I have him posed with my TLK and AoE Primes which have had paint and Toyhax stickers added. Even the truck mode could use new flames with a pinstripe around them. Only after then will I decide which of my three I like the most.

Issues with my figure? Nothing wrong with the figure itself but was a lil gutted that my box was damaged enough in the bottom left corner that it had also damaged the display stand a bit (you can see it in the pics). Not hugely noticable and not serious enough to prevent any stability but still a lil annoying.

Nice pics carni! I wouldn't say no to prime, looks leagues above the very first voyager prime and I missed out on battle blades as well

Yeah I like it a lot better than I thought I would. As I said above, just looking forward to treating it to a Toyhax set of stickers when they release them. That and a bit of paint here and there will really make the figure stand out more but even as is I'm pretty happy with it and I always did love those swords. They're ready to do some slicing and dicing (can't wait for Voyager Bonecrusher

)

The news of Voyager Optimus and Bonecrusher makes me wonder if we're still getting the Voyager Ironhide mentioned in the leaks, and if it will come out before or after Optimus and Bonecrusher.

Jut wanted to show proof that the entire studio series line is labeled as Movie 6 in store database listings:

So it doesnt mean anthing more than it being scheduled to be out the same time frame as the film.

Anyone got some good group shots so we can see this amazing robot mode scaling Hasbro has been allegedly paying special attention too for the Studio Series line? I'd like to see how Bumblebee and Ratchet compare to one another. I'd also like to see Starscream next to Battle Blades Optimus Prime from 2010. That's still the best voyager Optimus Prime mold in my honest opinion.

Despite that snark I took a pic of the four figures I have which are all major characters with notable attempts at scaling.

I don't have the Battle Blades Prime, sorry. That's a costly figure these days.

Y'see that's some nice scaling for two Deluxes and two Voyagers. And I presume Blackout and moreso Grimlock make these look like tiny children.

There's probably pics of the full range that someone will post but i thought i'd do this anyways.

I finally spotted the Studio Series Deluxes at my local Walmart, and good golly Bumblebee looked small. Maybe the it's the size of the box, maybe it's the PotP Deluxes hanging right above, but gosh :shock:

That picture amuses me cos I had my four figures positioned with Voyagers at back with Deluxes in front but I realised that's silly cos obviously perspective will make the different in size of figures less than they are so I lined them up in a row.

Thanks for the pics, though. Studio Series Starscream looks BEEFY for a Voyager, so I don't think Battle Blades Optimus Prime is going to throw off the scale that much.

Aw ok I read it as snark when you used the word 'amazing' but then 'allegedly' in asking about the scale of the Studio figures. My mistake. But yeah as you can see there's some definite height differences between figures of the same size class. And yes it means I was glad I got Prime much cheaper than Starscream cos the latter is suitably chunkier.

No, the scaling is truly pretty amazing, considering that those look like four different size classes, but it's really just TWO.

I'm surprised Hasbro isn't trying to sneak in extra characters that come in non-standard sizes to make up for some of the mass differential between these smaller than average figures and their usual bulk in each size class. It would probably be the only way to get reasonably scaled versions of characters like Frenzy, Wheelie, and Brains, unless they release a deluxe sized box set of them or the like. Would be interesting to see how they handle the Arcee bikes too.

Yeah speaking of the lil guys I've had Legends class Ravage as my main movie Ravage figure for years though I think he's now a tiny smidgey bit too big in scale to Bee (comparing with the scene where Bee rips out Ravage's spine in RotF) but it'll still do nicely.

Arcee bikes might be interesting but still not sure they work well as toys. I still love the 2007 Deluxe Arcee as it's one of my all time fave TF figures but it's way too large for scaling (even back then it was) with regular TF figures (might look better scaled with the MPM's?) so I wouldn't say no to a smaller scale-accurate version of her but I guess the fact that design wasn't actually used in the film prevents that at least until they've done all the actual on screen character designs.

Wheelie and Brains would have to be extremely small? Like World's Smallest Transformers Ravage? :O

5th movie toys are crappy? Why do you say that? Tlk mainline was pretty great besides some QC issues which happen in every transformers line.

On topic, got ratchet, he is really cool. The only thing I'd like to see with ss going forward is an attempt to scale alt modes as well. It doesn't have to be perfect but ratchet being a hummer he should at least be bigger than bee

I hope so, I would like to see a Sideswipe, a Dino, the 3 Wreckers (or at least a weaponized Leadfoot and Roadbuster), and maybe a Jolt and twins. Oh and a Frikkin Devastator, now that they have proven how good they are with combiners.

Lockdown was a few feet shorter than Prime in the movie (most of what I've read puts Lockdown at 24 feet and Optimus at 28), so the scale kinda works there. What doesn't work is with Ratchet, Lockdown should be taller than him.

EDIT: After looking at it some more, Lockdown and Ratchet are pretty much at the same height in the picture, and with Lockdown being farther from the camera, he might actually be a little taller than Ratchet.

Just another remnant of movie 6's delay. I guess Optimus probably will be a repaint/retool of the first one for DotM with perhaps some different weapons.
