An eBay auction for a MIB Demolishor figure from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen toyline has surfaced which showcases the figure's bio.

Demolishor is one of the Constructicons who will merge to form Devastator in the new film, opening June 24th 2009.

Demolishor isn't very bright, but he knows when to fight, and when to run and hide. Arriving on Earth to find Megatron destroyed, hiding seemed like the best option. Since then, he's taken a few smaller Decepticons under his protection, and built quite a little community. It hasn't been easy hiding among the humans that creep like a disease over this planet, but he and his companions are content until a new Decepticon leader emerges to guide them back to glory.

Interresting bio... but one thing jumped out at me that I'm kinda confused about... On the back of the box it mentions Demolishors Mech Alive gimmick as spinning gears in the shoulder.. but I dont see them on the toy, nor do I see panels that could be opened to reveal said gears...

Unless the photo of the toy is mistransformed.. perhaps theres been a mold change on this?

I thought the ability to stand in one's robot mode would be a major criteria for the designers? I guess not. WORST ROBOT MODE EVER!

I'm still on the fence about the 'bot mode with this. The whole "unicycle" look is tough to swallow. It looks like its several steps from being fully transformed.

Alt mode is wicked bad ass though.

the mech alive gimmick for demolisher is the silvery parts in the upper arm/shovel arm that you can see

i like the alt mode, my all time fave concept is unicycle bots (beast machines thrust) and hovering bots (beast machines Obsidian) ohh allspark incinerator why couldent you look like obsidian lol

Oh I know the silver parts in the arms spin.. but look at the photo showing the back of the box.. its pointing to parts of the shoulders that arent on the final product... thats what I was getting at.. sorry if I wasnt very clear

I think the toy is mistransformed. If you look at the shoulders on the back of the box, the cab of the shovel is to the inside - toward the main body. On the toy, the cab of the shovel is to the outside of the shoulder. This is causing the "moving gears" to be on the back of the toy.

I'm guessing that each of the of shoulders should be spun 180 degrees (on a verticle axis) on the toy to show the moving gears to the front of the toy.

One thing I am curious about.. how long before fans kitbash a way to get the individual Constructicons (the ones with Robot Modes) to combine?.. :wink:

My feelings are so torn on this guy. The movie character looks so cool, and yet the toy looks like such garbage. I just don't know what to think!

OK..maybe I'm missing something.

We know there are six constructicons that combine. The shovel that combines in that group is Scavenger. He looks almost identical to Demolishor. Does that mean that Dems will NOT combine with the others? Or are we going to see him smashed in the opening sequence of the movie (as evidenced by the Chinese street signs on the overpass he crushes) and then REBUILT to combine with other Decepticons?

I'm a tad confused...

That's the standard concensus, yes. I don't see any way this toy can combine in the fashion I saw the non-robot toys... which is still a shame considering how good HasTakTom has gotten at engineering these things. I also hope there is an in-movie explanation as to why Devastator's name was used by Brawl...

Wow. Well, I was really confused then. Sorry about that. I guess that means I am not buying any of the constructicons from the movie then. Disappointing.

he should be able to stand on his own. its hard to tell from this photo, but others i've seen show that those "wheels" in robot form aren't your typical round wheels. its more like a triagular-ish shape.

even this photo, if you pay attention to the wheels, you can tell the back goes out a little before going down.

Unfortunately it was a mistake they used Devastators name. They didn't edit it out. The problem with the first movie is that they didn't take it as seriously as they do now. So I'm guessing there was plenty more problems they could have worked out in the first film! Heck Bay said it was just a big dumb robot movie! Now with ROTF it's not dumb anymore.

I'm liking this new type of Transformer. If any of you have or end up picking up a Beast Machines Thrust you can appreciate the look. The only downside to this one wheel design is he needs a stand to really get a decent pose. As far as Devastator; I will be buying 2 of every constructicon and making him from scratch! The cement mixer on devastator was out right disapointing and aggrevating! They basically flip a couple panels place him right on top; thats it!

A clip from the trailer (blink or you miss it) shows him using the wheel seen above his shoulders as a second wheel that is placed directly behind the first, thus giving him a two-wheeled bicycle-like way of locomotion. I will be buying this guy -- I'm not upset about the lack of detail; apart from the hands/fingers, from what I saw in the trailer, this figure is spot-on.

Toy is horrendously ugly. Mind you, the original Constructicons were no beauty-pageant winners either, but this takes the cake. :o)

Wasn't sure about his at first but the more I see of the toy the more I like it. Definitely be picking it up when the time comes.

I hve this sitting right here, far as I can tell it DOES NOT and WONT combine with the others. If it does I will be extrmely suprised. Far as his Mech Alive gimmick goes, when you bend his "arms" the silver large gear on the upper arm rotates and it is indeed a neat feature. I'm waiting for the Audi and Sideswipe to arrive anyday now as well.

I really like the incorporation of this feature into the toys, makes them seem a little more real, for toy robots that is :lol:

I have this theory. Hasbro has lost copyright to the Scavenger name, so they call the constructicons leader Demolishor now. And they printed SCVNGR sign to the non-transforming version, which is perfectly legal.

The same happened to Alternators Shockblast. The toy is called Shockblast, but it has SHKWAV on the licence plate:
