In 1950, The Ark is on a routine mission in space. They are attacked by Decepticons and the ship is damaged badly and on collision towards the moon. Before it crashes, Sentinel gives his 2nd in command, Silverbolt, something crucial to the war effort and has him exit the ship so the Decepticons won't get it. Silverbolt does this and moments later The Ark crashes.
Silverbolt travels to earth and crash lands. The impact of the landing puts him in stasis in his cybertronian vehicle mode. He is later found by Government Officials in the Nevada desert and taken to an Area 51 base. (This would explain the alien landing controversy)
Now it's 1969, Astronauts arrive on the moon and discover the ark. Sentinel awakens from his stasis and comes across the humans. Sentinel flies off in his cybertronian flying vehicle. He sets off to search the galaxy for Silverbolt. This proves difficult however since he can't pick up his signature.
He finally arrives on earth in 2011 with the Wreckers (whom he came across while searching space). He meets up with Optimus and the gang and they begin searching for Silverbolt and the item.

First off there are no flying Autobots, so Silverbolt would not be an Autobot, he would be a seeker, like Jetfire said that there were more "seekers" out there.

Secondly, you're missing Dreadbox and "Q".

Finally, I seriously doubt that. If he awakens in 1969 I believe he would be on Earth already, considering that look of his Fire Truck mode it looks like something from the 70s.

But we'll see 7/1/2011...

It is a good theory but I also doubt that it is true. I think if Silverbolt was in the movie we would have heard about it. But kudos for coming up with it. I'm not really sure what causes the Ark to crash. I wonder if when Megatron went after the cube, Sentinel Prime went after Megatron? Maybe Megatron shot down Sentinel's ship? (Yes that that is a long shot giving the size of Sentinel's ship). Or maybe he came out of space bridge jump and landed up on the moon?

They are all wheel drive, (4x4, 6x6, or 8x8), designed to move and manuvure at high speeds, and have good front visablitiy.

We have heard about it. It was confirmed earlier last year that James Avery would be voicing Silverbolt. Its not surpising that we haven't heard much more info concidering shots of an aircraft are going to be much more limited than that of a vehicle. At this point the only "aircfraft' that we've seen has been the Space shuttle. This is why many are speculating the space shuttle to be Silverbolt.

1. im afraid jetfire was never an autobot, he fought on their side alright, but the clue is on his insignia

I will say this once, Gyrotron; I want to see YOU settle down. 5150 Cruiser wrote nothing in his posts to warrant the statements that have been made by yourself toward him. If you have a difference of opinion with anyone at this site, you can state your case in a civil manner. It would also be a good idea to back some of your opinions up with information rather than insults toward members of this site.

he may have been called a nerd, but he attacked back equally vitrolically and not for the first time as he talked down to people or insulted them, most of the time when unprovoked jsut because someone denigrated the bay verse movies

What about Darkday (sorry dude, we're all at fault here), he called him "retarted", does he get a warning? And isn't the point of Private Messaging to be PRIVATE? No but this should have some sense to it. All we hear is I'M getting the warning yet nobody else who did the same exact thing as me in THIS THREAD is getting one, nevertheless, nobody's getting a warning and being told that in public.
