Joystiq reports that during a conference call, Activision CEO Mike Griffith mentioned new information regarding the release of Transformers War for Cybertron. Reportedly, the game would be released sometime in May of this year, earlier than the June 22nd date we had once thought. To view the source, click here.

Please dont rush this game out the door, so many other games lost their "great game" status cause of this. At any rate by the time im Sick of AvP & FF13 this should be out so it works.

Though I am super excited for this to be coming out I have a pile of games to play. I'm currently working my way through hell with Dante's Inferno. I've got 3 others to play and finish and Final Fantasy is coming out next month. Erg...and I'm sorely tempted by the AvP game which is coming out next week I think...

I agree with you there, however, this does make me even more excited for this game, but if it needs to be delayed in order to come out right, then I will just have to be patient, and look forward to best results.

Maybe they pushed the release date up expecting it to be delayed to June instead of keeping the release date at June and causing it to be pushed back to August.

Also, the AvP game doesn't seem that great. The humans are weak and the Aliens are cheap and overpowered. Of course I just played the Demo.

I think the best AvP game is AvP 2......perfect balance in my opinion.

If you take everyone's opinion into account, then all three species are overpowered, because everyone's point of view seems to be different.

As for WfC being released in May, I really hope it isn't. The last release date we had was June 22nd, the day before my birthday, I planned to get it on my birthday (Along with the Megs and Optimus figures). But if it's released in May, even though I can still do that, I'd have to hear a month's worth of talk about how great it is. Having to wait to for a game to be released is one thing, having to wait to buy a game while also hearing about how great it is, is so much worse.

I wished they would stuck with the Jun release date I am going to be super busy with games all the way up until June.

So I may not even be playing Transformers Until July or August Sometime and that is a maybe even then with E3 hitting in July this year there could be more un unnounced games we havent even heard of and maybe some suprises along the way.

But I plan on getting Transformers on my 360 but I may wait until I hear the reviews and read the Gameinformer review and watch the review of it on X-Play.

But it looks like to be a good Transformers game for once but I have a feeling the game could be really short in single player campaign as this game seems to be a MMO Shooter more than a single player experience.
