Looks like the supposed Takara Animated Clear Rodimus and Prime two pack is much more than meets the eye. We recently reported that the box set was to contain an Activators Prime, that seems to be wrong as it likely to be Deluxe Optimus Prime from the silhouette in the image below. This also reveals that the Clear Rodimus and Optimus set will be one of the products to follow MP-4S Convoy Sleep Mode, in Takara's "Welcome to 2010" campaign. The background for the 2010 campaign features flames and exhaust pipes similar to Rodimus Prime. Adding all of this up, will one of the new 2010 products be the rumored Masterpiece Rodimus Prime?



Moving along with the story, with scans provided by TFW2005 member Masabon, we've got images of upcoming Takara figures. The figures displayed are one's we've seen before several times over, however the images of Disney Label Buzz Lightyear are new. I'd much rather Hot Rod(imus) than Rodimus Prime if I'm honest. I like the vehicle mode much more.
That image does seem to imply a Rodimus Prime though, particularly with the silhouetted Optimus Prime and Rodimus in front of it. Any new MP sculpt would be welcome at the moment.

wouldnt surprise me one bit, as rodimus was a bit better recieved in japan. Ide like one, thats for sure, specialy if they make it a convertable, as in both rodimus prime and hot rodimus (lol) but if wheelies a bonus acc, then grimlock will finaly have something to ea... i mean, a buddy >.>

Glad to see the Crystal set will have two Deluxes. As for Hotrod/Rodimus Prime being the next MP I'm less than thrilled. I like the guy, but I think there are a lot of pre-movie characters that deserve the MP treatment first. Wonder who they would repaint an MP Rodimus into?

Personally I'm hoping more towards Rodiumus Prime than Hot Rod, but time will tell I suppose.
