If you guys can get a confirmed pattern for clipped/unclipped, I'll front page it.

I'll check mine tonight and let you know.

A piece of advice: when telling whether yours is clipped or unclipped, specify where you live, or where you got the toy, or better yet: whether it's an American or European card. I have a feeling this is region-based, or maybe even limited to the initial batch, which Europe hardly ever gets.

I think I might be onto something here!

So, I told you all that I bought a Crankcase with the fingers clipped and the number on the back was 10601.

Well, I went back out tonight and checked out EVERY Crankcase figure I could find. Every store I checked had Crankcase figures with 10601 stamped on them (K-Mart, TRU, Brewer Wal-Mart), except for a few at our Bangor Wal-Mart. The number there was 03651. Actually, it looked like the "03651" had been stamped over another number which I can't read fully. It's 033???

Anyway, I grabbed it hopeful that I'd see something different and....TA-DA!

So what does this mean? Well...definitively? Nothing. But, IMO, if I were you, I'd look for this number and if there's more than one number available - go with the lower one. If I'm wrong, I'm sorry!

Haha, I'm REALLY tempted to go back and grab the other two to test my "hypothesis"! I have another "10601" figure too...I might open him just to check!

Oh, and I agree with Jelze. This could be regional, it could be in earlier runs, I'm not sure exactly.

Because I'm a nerd, I've tallied up all the codes and "finger status" for Crankcase. These are from my own purchases, Seibertron posts and from another site. Nothing statistically definite, just a running total. 03651 looks pretty good. I've opened 2 now with that number and the fingers are intact.

Bought 10561 tonight at a Walmart in the northwest burbs of Chicago, IL (Mount Prospect). Finger intact! Let the gallery commence!

My opened 10601 purchased from ToysRUs.com, shipped from a local Toys R Us warehouse, had clipped fingers.

I got him today and his fingers weren't clipped, THANK GOD! it can't be for safety reasons, the middle fingers are soft rubber plasic

No it just looks like he's giving the middle finger to the world instead. Twice.

It looks like 10191 and lower have a 100% Intact rate, so I'll be avoiding the higher numbers like the plague.

It's a bit odd that the lower numbers have the Intact fingers, while the higher ones have them cut. Wouldn't that indicate that later runs have the cut fingers, because if so, I may need to snatch him the minute he's released here.

As for the whole middle finger: look up Aye-Aye.

Mine was code 10531. The middle fingers were both clipped. I think this was done on purpose probally because they didnt have time to create a new mold and wanted the fingers to be proportioned. The long finger was probally an error in the mold. Or maybe its just the american version being politically correct. (F***in Bastards) What do you want for $9.99 ???

I only bought this guy cause he is a blatant homage to the Predator. Thats gangsta.

I got mine at a San antonio traget 10601.. Only his thumb survived...

I grabbed the last 10601 from target ne ohio and from the top down view it looks like the finger is still intact. Can anyone else confirm you can see it looking from the top of the packaging?

Found one 03651 Crankcase out of about a dozen of them at Walmart today. All the rest were 10601. Opened it up and am super happy about my new spiky fingered Crankcase.

This is in Manassas, VA.

Not sure how that would be possible considering his hands are tucked deep between his arms and body, unless you can see through his plastic paneling, which you can't.

Also wanted to mention that the unclipped one I opened today was waaaay less floppy than the clipped one I bought on release day.

10601 Longer two fingers are clipped, rather neatly on mine. SO not going to bother buying another.
