I'm aware of that. I know the toyline supports the current media, and vice versa, so the Ark has to look the way it does. I was just saying I prefer how the Ark looked in the G1 comics. It was blockier and more angular, not to mention metallic light blue instead of a Dorito. And I was hoping a Titan figure might be an exception. But whatever. At least we're getting an actual Ark. Hopefully it won't be just a hollow shell we can throw some legends class figures into.sol magnus wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I'm split on this. I don't like how the Ark looks in the cartoon or as it will be here. The G1 comic version of the Ark looks much better to me. However, the orange and the curves will make it easier for it to be the Last Autobot, if that indeed is true. If it is, I'm sold. If it isn't, then I'll wait for further info.
How it looks in the picture is how it looks in the cartoon. It was the same in Siege as well...just less...green.

If we are getting the so-called Core class figures and they are of the Ark's passengers, then I completely agree. If not, then I personally do not want an Ark at all. Not a fan of the Last Autobot and that's the only bot whose name has been mentioned. I get his appeal for Marvel G1 fans who read that one issue. But I am not. And I doubt I am the only person who isn't.
Not going to complain if it is, though, as I'm sure something else Transfomers related will be available for me to spend that money on lol.

WFC Titan class TFs are very hard to find. Even online finding Scorponok has been impossible without having to use second market sellers who double or triple the price. And unless Hasbro has a money back guarantee on the release date for the Ark even pre-ordering is next-to-impossible for people like me on a fixed income where $160 can buy a lot of food.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.
Deadput wrote:It would never be a G1 version of Animated Omega Supreme especially not with Siege Omega being the second last titan, and hell will freeze over before they make a straight up Animated Omega Supreeme figure when there's no existing media in recent times to warrant it, it's not like Cybertron Optimus Prime where it already had the same aesthetic as G1, the Animated art style is too drastic of a change to be fitted in without major adjustments and by that point what would be the point of making him be anymore?AllNewSuperRobot wrote:The Last Autobot, already had an altmode.
Why would this matter? it's not like Hasbro couldn't just "change" his alt mode it for the sake of the toy like they do for others in the lines.
They were both spaceships anyways it isn't that different.
Plus it might only just be a Last Autobot/Vector Prime homage in bot mode and not necessarily the same character.
Sentinel_Primal wrote:I feel like you're arguing against yourself by saying Animated Omega's out of the question because he'd be too big of a style change, while also saying that The Last Autobot isn't out of the question cause they just need to do a big alt mode change

AllNewSuperRobot wrote:BUT, The Last Autobot, already had an altmode. He should have been a figure years ago. Animated OM was ready and waiting to be an Ark based figure. Standardise his design and there is no reason why he shouldn't have been? TLA doesn't have fans, only existing for a few panels. Only those with exposure to the Marvel Run even know he exists. So his selection is puzzling. If it were based on the G1 design. This would have to be Heavily altered to accommodate the design of the Ark.
If there's accompanying media to go with it to justify it, sure. But changing TLA's alt mode and claiming that it's the same TLA as at the end of the Marvel G1 story is not acceptable, at least not for me. I know that hasn't happened, but it shouldn't.Emerje wrote:AllNewSuperRobot wrote:BUT, The Last Autobot, already had an altmode. He should have been a figure years ago. So it's OK for Animated to turn Omega Supreme, who already had an established alt mode in other media, into the Ark, but it's not OK for the Last Autobot to turn into the Ark because he already has an established alt mode in other media? What?
Ditto. Also, the Last Autobot DOES have fans. I've been begging for a figure of him since 1991!

Emerje wrote:Did you forget about the Netflix series already? Whoever the Ark turns into it'll have be explained at some point in the third part of the trilogy.
That's just an assumption, or at best an educated guess. The story of the series isn't exactly top notch, and I don't expect it to get any better. So we'll see. And yes, I've been trying to forget about the show ever since I saw it. I thought about watching it again for the chance that it might grow on me, but that's not likely.Emerje wrote:Did you forget about the Netflix series already? Sabrblade wrote:Years ago in 2009 there was a fan-made custom Animated Omega Supreme built from scratch that was fully transformable, decently articulated, and as close to screen-accurate as its maker could get it. It looked to be about the size of a Unicron Trilogy Supreme class toy and was definitely impressive. Only one or two pieces were made and never mass-produced. But the fact that this thing was made proves that it's doable.
But of course, it would need to be a new line more appropriate than Kingdom.

I saw this custom in the past and when looking for a picture of Animated Omega when making my last post, was going to feature it in the post to further explain why I doubt an Animated Omega would be made for Generations but decided not to.
It's an excellent custom don't get me wrong, but you posting it is exactly proving my point that it wouldn't visually fit, Animated's artstyle is way too drastically different for a G1 based line, you would have to change up the design to make it fit in with the toys as opposed.
An Animated Omega would be great in another line, just not Kingdom is my opinion.
