Have you heard the rumors that the Ark might be canceled in lieu of two Commander Class figures?

Whoa, what?
It was part of that big post of rumors, but was left out of the news post here.chuckdawg1999 wrote:sol magnus wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:ZeroWolf wrote:Giving the rumours, the Ark might be the last titan anyway, which may not be a bad thing? It would all depend on what follows.

Nothing official, and from what I can tell the source isn't one of the usual suspects.

Because unlike the other rumors, this one wasnt corroborated.
That's exactly what's happening, people are just conflating two separate rumors.Jelze Bunnycat wrote:william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:It was part of that big post of rumors, but was left out of the news post here.chuckdawg1999 wrote:sol magnus wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:ZeroWolf wrote:Giving the rumours, the Ark might be the last titan anyway, which may not be a bad thing? And rumors are very susceptible to cross talk and people jumping the gun. The Ark may be the last Titan for all we know, with two Commander Class figures the following years. Too many variables for now.

Which isn't the worst idea, Titans take up a ton of space.Jelze Bunnycat wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:Hasbro will have to seriously up their Commander game if they expect us to pay $100 per figure.
Not really, they're just downsizing the Titan to Commander

If they really are bumping Commanders up to $100 and releasing twice as many per year, this is the perfect opportunity to finally get an amazing Star Saber.
I agree, Prime Wars height for Star Saber would be perfect IMO. I’ve just accepted it won’t happen in this new era of scale accuracy.Sentinel_Primal wrote:Autobot N wrote:Which isn't the worst idea, Titans take up a ton of space.Jelze Bunnycat wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:Hasbro will have to seriously up their Commander game if they expect us to pay $100 per figure.

Honestly I hope that the Star Saber would actually be Victory Saber with Star Saber and Victory Leo being Prime Wars sized leaders that are dense, rather than Jetfire height. I know that that's correct scale, but imo it's too big for a non-titan character, especially since Victory Leo would probably have to be the same size for a good combination. Plus, at that size, it'd either be $150 ($100 for Commander Star Saber, $50 for a Leader Victory Leo), or $200 for both of them as Commanders, so having them be smaller, but in the same box, it'd save fans a bit of money.

sol magnus wrote:So I opened my Warpath last night, and man is he short. If we're going for cartoon accuracy, he was never as short as he is in Earthrise on the show. I'm still happy with him, but seeing him be basically a midget to Sunstreaker and Hoist just looks off. He looks about the right height for Brawn, so that gives me some hope.
TF-fan kev777 wrote:I actually like what they've done in varying the heights in WFC, especially in the deluxes where we have even more variance between Cliff on the small side and Ironhide/Hoist on the tall end. As long as they keep rounding things out for the smaller bots with more intricate transformations and additional accessories, I'm okay with this approach. It does really look good in a display when everyone for a certain size class is not the exact same height.

I hope they revive the pricepoint down the road for an Iaconus
Emerje wrote:You know, I don't know what I would be willing to pay for a Star Saber at PotP Leader size. I'd want him to have all of the features of the original figure and MP, which to me would be a $75 figure, not $100 unless it had some unbelievable features to it. On the other hand Victory Leo is a much simpler figure with a straight forward transformation, basically Leader God Bomber with a more cohesive transformation, doesn't really feel like Commander class to me, more like "tall WFC Leader". I don't know, I don't think I'd be happy with whatever price Hasbro came up for those if they ever did make them, but I'd probably buy them anyway because I'm a sucker.
