Besides sometimes I do question whether someone has stolen from the factory or if Hasbro are being very sneaky and using it as a way to build hype for forthcoming figures, plus they don't have to worry about a reviewer not declaring they got it from hasbro as they can rely on the "thief" angle.
It would be HUGE trouble for Hasbro if it got out that they were quietly filtering samples out to reviewers and telling them not to disclose where they came from. YouTube and most credible platforms require it otherwise it would lead to accusations that Hasbro is paying for positive reviews, something that could cause a negative backlash.
On the flipside, there isn't a store online or off that wouldn't ask for a few mentions in the video and probably a link in the video description and maybe even a pinned first comment in exchange for a free review sample. The idea that a store is sending these out to him for free with no strings attached is frankly absurd. He's aware people think he's buying stolen figures since he got them so early so why not preemptively say where they came from, even if he had to pay for them, if they're not stolen? It's all very suspicious.

And there's that. Neither Hasbro nor any retailers send out samples without boxes.
