Yes! I saw a video Chris McFeely did on that a while back, that was pretty fascinating.

It really made my day that in 2020 we are STILL able to find new and interesting things out about Transformers that we didn't know before. It's a shame that Hasbro doesn't share this early info with us more readily, maybe they don't even know anymore.

THIS Thursday!!!!
^Just curious if you (or anyone else expecting something from Amazon currently) got a shipping notice? Mine still says Rodimus is expected to arrive TODAY by 10pm, but it has neither shipped, nor has my account been charged...I know Amazon has pulled this goofiness before, it is still no less frustrating, especially sometimes when we actually do get items early. I expect the inevitable delay notification any time now...
Yes and no? Yes for my Rodimus, he is on the was I got the shipping notice and is out for delivery.
For the Ark, I pre-ordered immediately when they first opened pre-orders and still haven't even received a shipping notice yet despite a few others being able to pre-order just last week and having at least received a shipping notice.
o.supreme wrote:Interesting. So does that mean The Ark is shipped as individual units? The last time I saw, which was admittedly a while ago, Titans were shipped in large boxes of 2 each.
-- just curious,do the small front panels pop off yours super easily? Mine do which makes it a bit annoying.

I wouldn't doubt if it is shipped individually... I guess I don't see why Hastak would do this only for Amazon... Especially if they're just going to put it in another box anyway.
So... I'm going to wait to open this guy...
I'm a teacher, and as of right now I'm not super pumped about going back to the grind of waking up at 5:30 Monday through Friday.
I think I'm going to wait until early to mid-September to open him, so I have something TF-related to look forward to after the school year starts.
Now, will I really hold-out that long? Who knows... But sorry, I can't answer your question yet. Hopefully that's not a wide-spread issue.
Is there a way you'll be able to fix that?

I didn't realize there were so many people complaining about Huffer, though. He seems pretty great to me, with a very faithful robot and alternate modes to the G1 cartoon. The transformation is pretty simple, except for the arms/smokestacks, which take a little more work, but when you tab everything in correctly, the truck looks fine and rolls perfectly, despite the seemingly low clearance of the "undercarriage" of the truck/robot mode chest. Maybe it's one of those "your mileage may vary" quality control things?

I'm actually thinking they ship in both single packs and cases of 2 depending on the retailer. Amazon likely gets them all single packed so they can just turn around and ship them. Target stores I suspect get cases of 2. I just found him this morning and there were 2, but the slight crushing on the corners of both of them indicated they were in the same case box to me.
Also, naturally everyone started getting Amazon shipping notices but me, despite ordering the minute it went live. Found him in store this morning, went to cancel on Amazon and they say he's being prepared to ship and they can't guarantee they can cancel, so I may end up with a second one to return.

Do people really value Accuracy over Enjoyment

Thanks for the heads up! I just got my Kingdom Red Alert ordered through Hasbro Pulse! No hunting for it at Walgreens for the whole winter for me this year, lol! For those interested, Red Alert is under the “Partner Exclusives” tab, AND he appears to be a a available to ship right now. Yes, that’s right, Red Alert is not a pre-order! Go get him now if you want him!

The downside is that you can’t compare on the shelf before you buy to get the best paint job or look for missing accessories or other issues.

Agreed
In my experience, I haven't had any issues with figures that have missing accessories or bothersome paint jobs. And since I preorder most of the time I have a little bit more trust with whatever site I order from that the figure will be okay or I can make a sh*t about it and they'll fix it
But maybe I've just been really lucky so far

The QC for retail Transformers figures is usually pretty good, but things happen. I bought a Generations Deluxe Thundercracker several years ago that was missing the silver paint on his face. Unfortunately, deluxes were packaged in alternate mode in those days, so I didn’t find out about the problem until I got him home, opened him up, transformed him, put him on the display shelf, and then later on noticed the issue when I took another look at him.
