i meant how big is bruticus in G1 cartoon continuity?

the way i have it pictured in my head is:
-all scramble city combiners are relatively the same
-devastator being a little bigger than them
-predaking being a little bigger than devastator

i was 95% on passing warbotron to begin with, as ive got the FP one. and especially after seeing the size of this guy im officially out. so really, no harm no foul. that said though, it is an amazing rendition of the character.

Bruticus was the same height as everyone else in the cartoon. Now mind you, he was paired against Defensor and one had a motorcycle limb and the other had a space shuttle so scale is OH MY GOD MY BRAIN!

Hehe, yeah, definite Soundwave Syndrome going on there (massive mass shifting :P), but that was generally the case with the combiners anyway, which was why their combined forms were always towering so massively over Optimus Prime that they could hold him in their hands like a doll, yet their individual bot modes were around the height of say, Ironhide and Ratchet.

Of course, even that varied quite frequently from one episode to the next or even from one scene to the next during the same episode.

As far as the G1 cartoon, I think you are generally right. Because of all the mass shifting and animation errors, there are probably a million arguments on why one gestalt is bigger than another. I'd rather just laugh at these images. 8-}

well... yeah everything was wonky back in the original toon. when soundwave first turned from behemoth robot to hand held cassette player, i made peace with mass shifting. but anyways, im sure ive seen an official bot mode size chart of some sort floating around the interwebs over the years. so i was just wondering.

Yeah, this line of conversation is why I have that bit in my sig. There are exceptions, like no way I'll buy a Legends-class trypticon, but I have zero problem with a Protectobots groove that's about the same size as the other three limb bots.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

I'm still more then happy with my Fansproject Bruticus, so these guys aren't on my plate. But still, not bad at all. Except for the size issue.

All of the photos of them with Masterpiece figures just don't work for me, because it makes it glaringly obvious how not G1 accurate these figures are. (And that is kind of an important factor in Masterpiece figures.) If, on the other hand, they'd been a bit smaller (like Classics Deluxe scale for the limbs, and Voyager or Ultra for the torso) this series of figures could have been a home run. But with all of the photos comparing them to Masterpiece figures, it seems like they are trying to promote these figures as compatible with that toy line, and they most assuredly are not.

Ah, well. I'll continue to look at the pretty pictures (and watch video reviews) with slightly detached interest. But I have my Bruticus, and I'm happy (mostly) with him. (Only thing I'd add to him if I had the chance would be replacement G1-ish heads for the official figures used in this set... But I am living without them easily enough.)

Hopefully somebody does an "undersize" KO of this set. I got my oversized deluxe KO BH Abominus coming in the mail which turned out to be very popular. Theres a big market for KOs when the original maker got the scale all wrong. So I happily throw the idea on the table and hope the someone in China with KO connections is reading...

MP Sideswipe is small for the Voyager scale,it's under 6.3 inches tall. While WB Onslaught is average for a voyager toy as its under 6.7 inches tall.

Why is it okay to buy all those TFC voyager sized limbs bots but not the WB Voyager sized limbs bots. Why are the WB limb bots getting labeled as extreme oversized when the TFC limb bots are the same size?

WB Onslaught might be leader scale like TFC Razorclaw is leader scale. I think the leader scale WB Onslaught & accessories is what is making WB Bruticus tower over most previous 3rd party gestalts.

At some point,I'd like to see KO companies,KO,All the 3rd party combiners. Then sell them for a fraction of the cost. As long as their similar quality & simlar scale is there,I'll buy them.

Its a Shame KO companies don't increase the scale on HasTak TF toys I felt were made too small. I would buy Ultra 8 inch 2.0 Cyclonus,Scourge & Galvatron KO toys in a heart beat.

I debatted on getting the Oversized KO of the BH Abonimus. But the KO was colored in those Takara TF GO colors that I dislike. I had my worries that the KO combiner connectors ports & bots articulation would be more loose Because the Liscensed HasTak version was.

At $19.99 plus 12 bucks shipping, Im willing to take the chance. I wanted the Takara colors since I collect Predacons. I have a shelf for just them. I would rather have a 3rd party do G1 style terrorcons then have the BH versions on my classics shelf. Im sure we will see them sooner or later.

I'd rather play the waiting game for a year or Two. Then wait for 3rd parties to create a Abonimus Combiner toy.

Looks like Warbotron really screwed over Eddie at Toy Dojo. I assume the exclusive retailer is BBTS, and wonder if TFsource and Captured Prey will have similar announcements soon?

From Toy Dojo's Facebook page:

Toy Dojo wrote:To our valued customers,
Thank you for your continued support of Toy Dojo and your order of Warbotron products. We regret to inform you that we will be cancelling all pre-orders for Warbotron. When we initially offered this product we were given a March release date by Warbotron for the first two products in the series. At that time there was absolutely no indication of this being an exclusive or any other restrictions (besides minimum order qty). After numerous requests from us for information we were finally were contacted by Warbotron. They -- unexpectedly and very surprisingly -- informed us that there will be a 90 day wait period, to allow for this product to be an exclusive item for only one retailer. As such, during that time, no other retailers will be allowed to sell their product in the US or Canada.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We value your business greatly and to help compensate for this inconvenience, we will be offering a credit to customers who pre-ordered Warbotron with us. Please allow for a few days while we cancel and give the credit to your accounts.
We would also like to inform you that we will no longer be carrying Warbotron items. This was an extremely hard decision to make. A 90 day wait period after an item is released makes it very difficult for us, a small retailer, to fairly compete. Warbotron gave us a March release date from the very start and we marketed the items as such. We have been misled by Warbotron to believe that this item would be released to us in the same time frame as all other retailers and inadvertently misled our customers to believe the same. We want to be able to offer and provide the product but we feel that these restrictions are unfair to us and to our customers. If you have any questions regarding this decision please feel free to email us and we would be happy to discuss it with you.
Best Regards,
-Eddie

Is,Ages Three & up & Toy Dojo,The same import site company? I ask because they are almost reporting a similar Cancellation message word for word.

I need to hear,Warbotron's side of the story. Because it might be vastly different.

Regarding the toys, The sculpts are simply beautiful. Its a shame they were made so oversized. Had they been Four deluxe sized limbs bots. With Onslaught being a Voyager toy,I would have bought these.
Maybe a KO company can give me the Downsized scale I desire for these toys for a fraction of the cost. :D

I would say its because these guys are the largest version so far of a combiner that any company has attempted, and when we get to see Swindle in vehicle mode alongside one of the TFC aeroplanes, then you will realise this thing is oversized!
