I suppose rather than red for con, Blue for bot, what would be a reasonable or believable explanation.
for example, I take that the spark gives the transformer his or her body colours. I assume something similar may be for bot or con. However all things considered there appears to be a fair spread of spark types.
Could some writers or whatever chime in with your explanations or reasons?
"We, Decepticons, are a swell bunch. And boy do we have fun." - Starscream "You're one of...those, Never understood why any self respecting Decepticon would choose auto-mobile as his vehicle mode when he could have flight." - Starscream "For a guy hearing voices of the dead, you've got a pretty insensitive view of Mental Health" - Bumblebee Starscream's Shrine ~ Fan Art ~Collection~Sunstar's Discord - join today!
I can't even say one colour is specifically neutral either.

If I were to hazard a guess as to any biomechanical explanation for different coloured eyes, I'd probably try to explain it as a consequence of spark type. The MTMTE comic spend a page or two listing several different permutations of spark type based on metallurgy and charge.
"A polar bear is dropkicked by a robot that turns into a police car."
Personally I wonder if it's matter of choice, like basically it can be changed through modification or "upgrades" basically. Kind of like changing a component on something mechanical, like a car or computer basically.
