Heck yeah Ironhide. Why not? He's as much a figurehead of Transformers as Starscream, and SS got MP treatment.

So what his alt mode is a van, its the point of him being Ironhide.

It's just that this LiteAce mini van is a scraggy old van. It's one of the cheapest, most unappealing, extremely uncomfortable, and perenial break-down-headache Japs van of the 80s. It was never even liked in the 80s. It's sort of an eyesore whenever you see them chugging by on the road.

The only factor that made people buy them is its cheap price.

Now, how about that for a Masterpiece?

I have nothing against Ironhide. But this van? Let's just say, i'll look away.

i'd rather have an mp hot rod over an mp rodimus prime.
several reasons:
-rodimus evenutally goes back to being hot rod after prime becomes leader again.
-rodimus sucked as chief of the autobots
-hot rod's alt mode was better than rodimus' futuristic shag wagon

How would you set the final design? On what should it be based on? How accurate is accurate?

yeah but th best rodimus to date is the SDCC Alternators one, the Masterpiece would be cooler, because he could have his winnebago trailer do this:

Besides people say alot about his altmode, but he's in disguise, they laugh about his altmode, until he opens the back trailer and sticks these babies in their face... Whose laughing now!!


Nope it's Rodimus Prime for me.. Shag Wagon and all..
His leadership was subject to the writers interpretation, he very well could have been a great leader, but as it stands he's been relegated to 2nd tier by fans and writers since his debut back in the 80s, it's really quite old..

I would be very happy to have the "New Leaders" as a set of Masterpieces on my shelf with a complete Ultra Magnus and Rodimus to go with it..



then later after those 2 get made, give me a Galvatron!!!

I think Rodimus Prime would be too big. But if they did him, what would be really awesome is if they figured a way to keep him as a car, with the rear end hidden by the 'Winnebago' trailer. So, you could display him as Hot Rod OR Rodimus Prime! Wouldn't that be awesome?

MP TM Megatron
MP Cheetor
MP G1 Galvatron
or MP G1 Ultra Magnus

I was just about to raise that very point! To make Hot Rod / Rodimus MP-worthy, both characters would need to be in the same frame. Out of the box, it's Hot Rod, but flip the face (a la MP Screamer) extend legs, do other stuff to get the color scheme right, and there's Rodimus. Maybe Rodimus' trailer bits snap on like Galaxy Convoy to make Hot Rod's Matrix Mode or whatever.

And if it is Hot Rod as an MP, his shoulders must do that ridiculous spin action as he transforms, like from that single instance in the movie.

All that said, my personal pref for MP-7 would be Sixshot. With better colors.

But to be an acurate Rodimus Prime, the trailer would need to be an actual part of the robot.

he's more like an SUV to me then a Winnebago.. but the Lonestar from Spaceballs had a winnebago and he took out the baddies prety well.. so...I still Nominate Rodimus Prime as the new leader!!

So the effect of the Matrix on him simply wore off?

I wish the next MP would be a pre 1986 movie TF, maybe Grimlock since he is Dinobot Commander, then they can move on to Rodimus and Ultra Magnus, the new leaders.
