so with these transformers sightings...barricade, prime, etc. they all seem to look like they did in the first movie. if production is indeed underway...does this mean that all the surviving transformers will remain in their original vehicle modes or will they upgrade to the year's model or will they choose a different look altogether? will prime stay a peterbilt semi truck with flames? will barricade (if he returns) continue to be a black saleen? bumblebee a 2009 concept camaro? starscream an f-22? etc... in my opinion...i think they should stay as they are. but i have a feeling...since they'll want to make toys...they may adopt new vehicle modes

Barricade WILL return. His disappearance is supposed to be a plot device or whatever for the next film. Bay said it somewhere. Then again, I think he could be intentionally deceiving us again. He'd make a good Decepticon...obsessed with explosions....deceptive. Yup. DeceptiBay.
And, Bumblebee already had two alternate modes. They have got to keep the same ones, otherwise things seem a little pointless. Plus, they can add any new characters they want now. Even a character shown for a split second in a flashback gets a toy. They made a toy of Movie Skyblast, and he showed up in about three panels of a single comic story.

i think it'd be a flatbed if anything. he wont have a trailer because he has a component used for hauling flatbeds (the big shiny wall behind the cab). so no, no trailer

I hope they do. It would be nice to see the same characters having the same appearances so they can sort of grow on you like the Autobots should. I would like to see Barricade remain the same if he's the same guy from the first one in a continued plot device. Starscream could do with an upgrade or something, and he might change, considering he left Earth. But for the most part, we should be seeing new Decepticons, and that might be the focus of the sequel.

I think they will be the same vehicles at the start of the movie. Then, somewhere along the movie, changes or modifications will happen.

This will help Hasbro survive.

Prime dosen't need a trailer they should keep all reaccuring characters the same cept for megs.

Actually, a trailer would be a good addition. Keep Prime the same, just add some extra war gear to him.

I absolutely agree. I would'nt want the already established characters from the first movie to radically change their appearence. I think modifications or the occasional rescan for a shot in the movie will be enough. Not to mention the new characters that will inevitably appear in the movie. That will be more than enough for Hasbro whom i love dearly for still making kickass toys! Even the repaints which for some reason i still buy sometimes just for the colors! Boy i'm screwed up! 8-}
