You know the x-transbots powerglide and wheelie arent just KOs of the jizai molds right ? Theyre upsized and the wheelie has diecast parts. Theres nothing lazy about them. Somebody sacraficed a very expensive jizai version to make those possible.

Upsizing and changing materials for certain parts is far from hard work- upsizing is done by KO companies all the time, and it doesn't change the fact that they essentially stole someone else's work and passed it off as their own without giving any credit to the original creator.

I've been asking for a while for a Minerva reissue or a more modern toy with a new head. That was not what I had in mind. I really want a Minerva (I have the Korean KO version from a few years ago) but not this one.

The more I see of photos and how much work is involved for a probable mediocre result if by my hands, the less I care that it will be so very exclusive. I would rather wait for a repaint of generations night beat than have to stare into these eyes (which I guarantee I wont do a better job).

Thats why its called a KO. Its sole purpose is to make money. It wasnt made by people who design figures. But upsizing requires a lot more work than simple reverse molding. Thats why I said those upsized KOs are far from lazy. Additionally, I forgot to mention x-transbots added additional articulation not found on the smaller jizai version. Im just not seeing any laziness with the figure in hand. They accomplished their mission of improving the original figure while maximizing their profits. I call that being ambitious, not lazy.

Google Translate doesn't understand that "henkei" means "transformation" instead of "deformation".

Not entirely. At events like Wonder Festival and Comic Market they allow a one time waiver on licenses for figures and models sold in limited numbers. So it's not that Minerva is licensed, it just doesn't require a license. The day after Wonder Festival it's just another bootleg.

Festival days limited license. And it also sports the TF logo. You know how law abiding people in Japan are.

Note how I said sanctioned? I know that it's a one day selling licence, but it's still officially sanctioned by Takara, and will feature all the logos and TM it needs.

I'd like to have the original G1 Masterfore Minerva toy. Unfortunately, it was a Japanese exclusive. And it's rare as fawk. And those, prices, those prices for a complete one! :shock:
