You know what? I'll break my no 3rd Party MP rule for this. I've wanted a good Beachcomber for years now.
Of course he'll be put off the MP shelf once the official one shows up, but this I just have to get now.

It looks nice enough, but I'll keep my iGear Beachcomber. Hopefully they'll make a Windcharger at the same size as MP Bumblebee soon. That'll work for me.

An update from XT regarding a couple of products .

First images of Arkose are making their way around the web. He's MM-VIII because Boost and Hatch are numbered before him. Stay tuned for their reveal in about a month. Apollyon is still in production and Andras is currently in development. This is gonna be a fun year!

Okay, first, I do like this. I wonder if it would be too big for my Classics/Generations shelves. (I have the Movieverse stand-in for now.)

Second, I wonder if the "birds" extra is in relation to the Angry Birds game. I have, thus far, avoided the game because I know I'll get addicted and I'd like to finish my Master's degree next year, not in ten more years... 8-}

Third...I don't know how I'm going to get past AG's new signature picture. :shock:

He looks awesome. He needs to be 6 inches, include some little bird figurines and a sticker to put over his visor like the pics zodconvoy posted above.

THen i'd pay 75 bucks. But with that being said MP BB is about the same size and is 20 bucks more and nowhere near as cool as Beachcomber.

EDIT: Plus it has die cast.

X-Transbots designer 539Designs has posted an image to DeviantArt showing MM-VIII Arkose - better known as the Autobot Beachcomber - in the G2 metallic green colors. While there's no indication at the moment that this is a product that's going to be produced, it's an interesting insight into a potential new figure

I think so many of us (including Xtransbots) have been focused on Apollyon being released, there really hasn't been much discussion or news about this guy. May was the release date, I'm not sure it'll make this month. But I wonder if the same eye on QC is being focused on this release as they did with Apollyon.

Gonna use points at The Chosen Prime to bring this guy's cost down if I end up getting him.

Also, that G2 version looks beautiful, I may need that version for sure.

The perfect classics Beachcomber!! I would wait until this thing is clearance to $50 bucks though.

Im happy with igears version for my classics. This guy is a little on the big side like their wheelie. But I would consider buying their G2 repaint for the G2 shelf for 50 bucks.

That is true. But x-transbots isnt exactly known for quality. I dont see any incentive to upgrade 3rd party characters all over again for classics. Im fairly confident beachcomber is on hasbros to do list. If I was into MP, I would be more into this.
