Actually MSRP is $99.99
TRU is selling it for the discounted price of $69.99
says so right on the website.
even still better then $79.99 over MSRP on eBay.
When the item was first listed on TRU.com it was 69.99 on sale for $55.00. When I purchased the item at TRU Time Square the price tag on the shelves stated $69.99.
MSRP is on the TRU website.

Although BBTS costs more, I recommended them because they double box and ship with care. (At least the last MP I received was double boxed). Don't feed the scalpers!!!!!!!

If that's the case, it makes it even worse. BBTS probably got their stock at wholesale price point lots lower than the MSRP of $69.99 and yet they mark it up to $100+ and in doing so also take stock away from TRU and TRU.com to be able to offer them to customer at the lower MSRP price. So how is that different than scalping?

It's different because BBTS' supply of the figures will be factored in to what TRU requests/orders from Hasbro. Scalper supplies are not.

so even if that is true, it's ok for BBTS to take a $70 item and mark it up to $100+ but it's not ok for others to do so? I see the double standard there...

They have to factor in re-shipping from TRU to BBTS, overhead for employees to unload and reload, Website costs, Box and packaging costs.

I imagine there are costs that these "scalpers" would have to cover as well, like the 10%+ ebay/paypal fees. Look I'm not defending the "scalpers" but in the end both are out to turn a profit which ever way they can so I see no difference in that. So as a consumer I will purchase from who ever offers the best price.

BBTS doesn't raise the price based upon checking "completed listings" on ebay. BBTS is not taking away current retail merchandise and artificially raising prices.
Your telling me, trucking cost + Employee cost, + boxes + Materials + website design + Advertising + sales tax + Needing to make a profit...
Is the same as paying a 7% Paypal fee, a 5% Ebay fee, and the gas in the car? then Artificially raising a 69$ toy to 140$ that's currently at retail outlets, just scarcer because too many damn scalpers are taking them?
You won't understand if you don't know business
