Powerslide's Bio
Profile:
Maniacal, competitive to a fault; Powerslide is the designated leader of the Rapid Assault Squad. Everything turns into a contest to Powerslide, from the simplest task to the most complex battle plan - he HAS to be first or the 'winner' no matter what. This ultra-competitiveness works against him more often than not, infuriating his teammates constantly and even resulting in injury to them and his allies when he resorts to more underhanded tactics to ensure his 'win'. Powerslide hasn't got it into his processor that it's more important to beat the Autobots than his own Decepticons, everyone has to be beaten. This has particularly drawn the ire of Throw-Out - he chafes under Powerslide's leadership and longs to take control of the Rapid Assault Squad himself.
Abilities:
In vehicle form, Powerslide has a nominal top speed of 180mph, though he can push beyond this to hit 250mph for very short bursts. He is able to alter the friction coefficents of his tyres dynamically to adjust his handling capabilites as required - this gives him the edge over most others in vehicle mode and he is known as the most skilful driver on the team, displaying a mastery of driving ability that few others can match.
Weaknesses:
Powerslide's overcompetitive nature constantly causes conflict between himself and others. This causes his team to function far less efficently than they could if they were able to all work as a cohesive unit, and others are unwilling to help or engage with Powerslide as he is near-impossible to cooperate with. His vehicle mode is also prone to excessive and rapid tyre wear if he overuses his friction-altering abilities. He must also take care not to overstress his engine when pushing his top speed limit - he has been known to incur catastrophic damage through pushing himself too hard to win.
