BACKGROUND:
During Megatron's absence on Cybertron, Shockwave had to deal with Autobot resistance groups that were trying to steal the remaining Energon cubes from various Decepticon strongholds. Shockwave needed to create an army to combat the annoying Autobot scavengers. He decided on a group of mobile weapons. Not unlike himself, these soldiers were obedient killing machines. After 3 million years of fighting experience on Cybertron, Shockwave transferred his prized warriors to aid Megatron's forces on Earth.
