Meathook's Bio
FUNCTION: SURVIVAL
The mechanoid now known as Meathook was once Firmware, the Strike Force's commander. Critically injured in the ship-to-ship battle which saw Strike Force Corus stranded far from home, Firmware's spark was transferred from his shattered body into the frame of a modified Guardian drone in a desperate attempt to keep his mind alive until his own body could be repaired or rebuilt.
The attempt was only partially successful. Although Firmware's spark still drives the Guardian unit, the rational being who was the Strike Force's commander has been reduced to a creature of alternating docility and savagery. In battle, Meathook attacks in eerie silence, disdaining firepower or strategy in favour of brutally tearing into the enemy. The remaining commandos fear that Firmware's personality engrams are steadily degrading to the point of irreparable loss, but no way has yet been found to extract what remains of his mind from the Guardian shell.
