Strike Force Corus was originally a ten-bot interceptor team despatched by the leader of the Autobot resistance on Cybertron, Emirate Xaaron, to track down and destroy a Decepticon raiding party fleeing Cybertron with stolen tactical data on the Autobots' guerrilla operations. The interceptors pursued the Decepticons all the way into the Cori Celesti system, where the spies were destroyed in a gruelling ship-to-ship battle - though at the cost of crippling damage to the Strike Force's ship, the Hope of Steel, and the near-loss of the Strike Force's leader, Firmware.
Victorious but stranded far from Cybertron, the Strike Force turned their ship towards home and made what speed they could to return to Cybertron under the nominal leadership of the spark brothers Slow-mo and Hi-Jinx.
Now, after many years of limping across the galaxy in their battered cruiser, Strike Force Corus have at last rejoined the Autobot war effort. However, things are not as they were when the Strike Force set out from Cybertron - in place of covert Autobot resistance, they now find themselves in the midst of open war between the two factions. Though out of touch with many of their fellow Autobots, the members of Strike Force Corus have nevertheless placed themselves at the disposal of Iacon High Command, willing to do whatever they can to swing the tide of war.
