Nimbuscloud's Bio
Profile: Nobody knows the strength of what floats above better than Nimbuscloud. It was in the midst of an electrical storm over Altihex that Nimbuscloud was shot down by Prometheus' lackey Dragonfly, and the shock of the storm's consequences continued to burn into him as irrepressibly as Prometheus' own laser-scalpel did. Nimbuscloud vowed that if and when escape was possible, he would not only take advantage of that window of opportunity, but dedicate himself thereafter to knowing all there was to know of the forces of the heavens, and prepare himself physically and mentally to embrace those forces, to use them to his advantage, and ultimately to bend them back against Dragonfly as the demented Decepticon had to Nimbuscloud. But even after he fled with Jaw Crusher and the other Minibot escapees from Prometheus' lair, Nimbuscloud knew that mere vengeance would not be enough to gain an effective understanding of the mysteries of the skies. Ultimately what started out as the need for retribution evolved into a respect for the natural forces of the planet's stratosphere, and eventually the role it plays in the great circle of Cybertronian life. Nimbuscloud has since found greater use for his meteorological talents, helping to protect those in harm's way and thus loosening Dragonfly's stranglehold on those beneath him. This is a responsibility Nimbuscloud treats with utmost seriousness, even in circumstances where it would seem his advanced aerial acrobatics are meant to dazzle opponents - if they're bewildered by what they're seeing, then they're already as good as dead. Nimbuscloud is not above using deception against those would prey on the powerless - he knows they would do the same if given half a chance, which would put him in their crosshairs instead. As the result of his enlightenment, Nimbuscloud doesn't like to 'fight dirty', but he will if the circumstances and the enemy deem it necessary to do so, and when he does it's for keeps. And that's precisely the kind of soldier Jaw Crusher needs in the air, where the vast majority of the team has no foothold since most are bound to the ground below. Crusher is pretty liberal where Nimbuscloud' performance record is concerned - Nimbuscloud almost always gets the desired results, and that's led to a strong working friendship that extends into a command triad including the group's chief land warrior Pepper and marine agent Moray. This, perhaps, is the reason why after years of torture and shame, Nimbuscloud no longer possesses the apprehension that he once shared with others who have been airborne - he knows there'll be someone there to catch him if he falls.
Abilities: In plane mode, Nimbuscloud can clock in at 750 miles per hour at top cruising speed. With intermittent use, Nimbuscloud can radically increase his power output to send him thundering at a devastating 4000 miles per hour. His aerial maneuverability is among the most masterful of any Transformer, and armed with long-range concussion bombs and thermal laser blasters, he can reduce even the fastest-moving ground target into ash from above. Nimbuscloud can also utilize his weaponry in robot mode with expert sharpshooting skills, able to shoot down the fastest strafers before their own artillery can make a mark on him.
Weaknesses: Nimbuscloud' aeronautical abilities often require great fuel consumption for their execution. His lack of experience in land warfare also hampers his performance in that capacity, despite his own sense of commitment to getting the job done from the ground as well as from the air.
