About Juxtacons
Before the destruction of Quintessa, and long forgotten by their creations on the factory planet of Seibertron, the Quintessons enjoyed millions of years of prosperity. They continued mass producing robots, one line that was military hardware, the other being consumer goods. For awhile, they gave their creations only the most elementary of A.I. programming to avoid a repeat uprising; but being creatures of greed, the Quintessons were doomed to repeat history. Their customers began demanding better, more advanced merchandise, and to fill the demand, the Quintessons began to endow their robots with increasingly more sophisticated CPUs.
Uprisings were inevitable, so to maintain control, the Quitessons built a third line of robots for their own protection. They created the Sharkticons, a primitive form of robot that was easy to control, and that cannibalized any other robot that would go renegade. Produce in masse, the Sharkticons gave their creators the edge they needed to maintain control over their merchandise.
Despite the creation of the Sharkticons, there were still small pockets of renegade robots that managed to escape the Quintesson factories. Also, there were other robots that had been sold throughout the galaxy that rebelled against their purchasers and sought out to find their brethren who had either been sold to other planets, or still waited on Quintessa.
To entertain themselves, the Quintessons created a mock court to punish and destroy any captured renegade robot, or dissatisfied customer. Soon the Quintessons began executing anyone who had the misfortune of encountering their planet without the intent to buy.
Eventually, the small pockets of renegade robots learned of the Autobot/Decepticon war. The military robots, though programmed for battle, saw no point in conquering the galaxy, for it was highly inefficient and lacked strategic logic and purpose; they had also not been tainted by Megatron’s Robo-Smasher. They swore to protect the consumer goods robots, who in return, swore to stand by and maintain the military robots. Together they committed to find and rescue their fellow robots from slavery wherever they may have been sold, and to fight for the freedoms of any oppressed or enslaved race they may encounter. To symbolize their union, they called themselves the Juxtacons.
