Seibertron member Albershide brings us some interesting news about a trailer for the third Transformers movie:
Albershide wrote:Some interesting info emerged from the Alberta film ratings Community. According to their site the first TF3 trailer will be coming soon. And it's not a teaser, it's 2:24 minutes long and is rated PG. There are many rumors that the trailer will premiere together with Tron Legacy (also distributed by Paramount) which will be released on 17 December. The interesting thing is that for now we know that Pirates of the Caribbean 4 will also premiere with Tron Legacy together with Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger (not confirmed).
Here is the link to Alberta's recently classified film trailers:
Thanks to Bob from movie site iesb.net for letting us know that there may be some postproduction issues brewing for Transformers 3, specifically with the 3D version of the film. According to the article, the issue is with the native 3D footage, the material that was actually filmed with 3D equipment versus a digital, 2D camera. Insiders working on the film report that this footage "looks like #@*$" and may have to be scrapped or go through additional post production. The article goes on to mention that the problems, if true, may stem from Michael Bay's high energy, "aggressive" filming style. And while the final cut will hopefully still look good in 3D, it may not live up to the moviegoer expectations set by benchmarks such as Avatar.
We have been informed by "shawn" via e-mail that it looks as if Tesco is having some sort of sale on Transformers Scout figures. Tesco is of course a UK chain of stores so this is of no interest for non-UK readers.
The sale is any 2 Scout Class figures for 10 pounds, which saves you 5.97 pounds when compared to the standard price of 7.97 pounds each.
This might not be nation wide so please report if the sale is near you by visiting the UK sightings thread.
TFormers has posted what some believe to be a teaser poster for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the upcoming 3rd instalment of the Transformers movie series.
The poster shows Shockwaves head behind the moon, which bears the Decepticon symbol, the date 7.1.11, and the tag line "Be afraid of the Dark".
However, the photo is similar in style and timing to the "first teaser" poster for Revenge of the Fallen which turned out to be a fan-made fake from Poland. So keep that in mind, as this might be from the same artist or a copy-cat.

User Geminorum sent us information that YaHobby.com has posted a listing for the accessories to turn your Voyager Animated Optimus Prime into Wingblade Prime. See the listing here.
It is unsure at this time if this is a legitimate release from Takara-Tomy or if these are 3rd party accessories. The only images on the site are of the official Wingblade Optimus Prime. The set includes the following:
1 x Wingblade kit
1 x Hammer
2 x Fist
2 x Gun emplacements
2 x Missile
My anonymous source, who has provided us with a ton of reliable information over the past year or so, was able to see some images of the prototype for the upcoming Transformers United / Generations / Reveal The Shield (you pick the title) Rumble and Frenzy toy.
Apparently, the two fan favorite Decepticon pile-drivin' characters combine to form a tank, similar to the concept of the deluxe class Skids & Mudflap Ice Cream truck toy. Rumble and Frenzy combined will be a Voyager class toy. From what my source saw, the toys will sport their classic G1 heads as well as pile drivers. It is unknown at this time if the pile drivers can be swapped out for regular hands or not. It is also unknown if they will include their unique style of guns.
With all of the recent pictures that have leaked, it's only a matter of time before pictures of Rumble and Frenzy leak as well. We'll be sure to share pictures with you as soon as they become available. Stay tuned to Seibertron.com for all of the latest Transformers information.
Thanks to Seibertron.com member Meister79 for sharing a new product page from his contact in Hasbro Malaysia about the Japanese line Transformers United. (United being the joint line of Generations and RTS). Here is what he said:
I just wanted to share an excerpt of an email I received from a Hasbro Malaysia representative for preorders of Takara Transformers United toys.
Lots of interesting stuff, in particular UN-22 Char. Char was the G1 Japanese name for Kup. So he is more or less confirmed. Furthermore, UN-19 is Ramble & Frenzy! UN-18 is Wheeljack!
Interesting to note is that "Ramble & Frenzy" are the same price as Lugnut, so it can be assumed that this is a two pack of figures sold at the Voyager Price point. Whether they are Scouts, Deluxe, or even crazy huge Voyagers has yet to be seen. It's a pretty safe bet however that these two figures are based on their War For Cybertron characters.
You think Wheeljack is a repaint of Tracks or will he be a new mold?
What about all the other figures we know about in the Generations line?

Thanks to Energon Pub member Alberside we now know that Collection.org has posted a short article and a new video concerning the Transformers 3 filming in Hammond, Indiana. In the video we can see John Turturo's Maybach followed by the red Ferarri, Bumblebee and the Stingray convertible (presumably Sideswipe) being chased by the 3 Decepticon SUVs. According to collection.orgs' insider source these SUVs are in fact called "The Dreads". If this is just a working name during filming or the final name is currently unknown.

As always you might want to take this with a grain of salt.
While this great piece of news has not been made official yet on The Hub website, it could be a very good sign that we will get our first real look at Hasbro's new animated series Transformers: Prime on Sunday, October 10th. TFW2005 member Prowl posted an image captured from his AT&T Uverse DVR while setting it to record the previously reported"Hub Sneak Peek" scheduled for 4:30 Central on the 10th. The information in the Uverse programming information indicates that the sneak peek will be for two shows: G.I. Joe: Renegades and Transformers: Prime. If this is true, hopefully we'll get a 10-12 minute look at the show, get to see all initial characters in action, and finally learn what the new storyline will be.
We're expecting to hear more from The Hub on October 4th regarding programming and hopefully that update will include confirmation of the news above. Stay tuned here for more!
