The BotCon 2012 website is now online, though at this point it's really more of a teaser website than anything else. The only thing available is the promo image from FunPub's Diamond Edition Transformers Timelines Issue 6: The StuntiCon Job comic. Hopefully the BotCon 2012 date and location announcement is close at hand.

My guess is that it's Wing Saber.

I had a dream that it was being held in Valley Forge, PA, at the convention center there, right next to King of Prussia Mall.

If that dream comes true, party at my house!

Yeah me too. Hopefully it's somewhere down South or the Midwest so I don't have to drive too far. Maybe Atlanta? Or Dallas? Indianapolis? Charlotte?

I'm hoping for the Midwest too. It was in Ohio one year, so it would be awesome if it's there again! Otherwise, I wouldn't mind going out to Chicago for it either.

Really? When and where? I used to live in Akron.

its obvious, that the mold in the picture is laser-rod/g2 Prime from generations line. many guesses about it being clack convoy and the whole nucleon thing. which is neat for a bunch of G1ners and older fans but most kids and younger bot fans will just kinda scratch their head at the reference. could be a hit or a flop. now the other things to consider will be the autobot/decepticon logo mash up in the background. :-?

It was in Cincinnati in 2008. I wish I knew that such conventions had existed back then. I would of drove down there in a heartbeat.

At first I was thinking Phoenix of Tuscon, but hey, if I make enough money, it might not matter near as much. I might even drive the van there and....scope out the local storage auctions.

Bringing my "desert money" and using it to bring home stuff to make EVEN MORE money.

Bring it away fro mthe West Coast towards the East or the South and I'll be happy. :D

Bringing it to Chicago would be fabulous. And, less likely, but Milwaukee would be pretty sweet as well. 2 hour drive/ 2 hour drive plus a 30 minute train ride to BotCon= awesome. I've never been to one yet but I'll be damned if I don't try to make one soon.

I am hoping for a return to Orlando. Honestly, it is the ideal spot for me as I now have family there. Get to double dip on the Vaca. However, I don't care where it is as long as it's NOT in California. I just cannot afford to get all the way out there and have much if any money left over to play with.

As for the repurposed Prime figure, It will not be a Prime of any sort. Black/Nucleon/Scourge/Nemesis/Magnus non of the typical Prime repaints.

Yes, come to Phoenix! I want to go to Botcon, but don't have the time to travel out of state. Hey, even Cali or New Mexico might be close enough for me to travel. :CON:

Okay, I'm intrigued. Repainting RTS Prime will be pretty cool no matter what name they put on it. Dates and Location would be nice. I had to skip Cali last year, so I'm hoping for something more central/southern this year. St Louis, Memphis, Dallas, New Orleans.... come on FunPub, pleeeeeeeeeeeease?

Please be in Seattle, Boise, or Portland! I frankly think that it could be a Fallen, Nemesis Prime, or a futher advancement in Shattered Glass (I dunno, maybe it could be the originel Movie in shattered glass)

Primus is a huge battle planet bent on consuming the universe
they could have Optimus reincarnated by Primus as...Nemesis Prime
The Decepticon's make a tentitive alliance with the germaphobic Junkions after crashing on their homeworld
Galvatron is given the Decepticon matrix from teh creator of Transformers, Unicron. Galvatron is now empowered with new energy (could be a new deco or a new figure)
Primus invades cybertron and is interrupted in progress by the junkions and Decepticons
Galvatron attacks Nemesis within Primus' own body
Hot Rod had followed Nemesis to find his new power, and during the fray between the two leaders, snatches the Autobot Matrix from Nemesis and begins to absorb its power
Galvatron manages to gain the upper hand, but before he can capture him Hot Rod newly empowered (in the RTS Prime mold) as Rodimus Prime grabs Nemesis and throws him out into deep space
Optimus begs Rodimus to use the power of the Matrix to kill Primus. Rodimus agrees only because Primus is a threat to both factions, and uses the matrix to defeat Primus in a glorious display of power
Galvatron retreats to earth while the new leader of the Autobots towers over cybertron. Galvatron however is dreading future battles, as a new menace is ruling the Autobots...

:-$ shhhh! No spoilers :P

The current rumor is Chicago.

Besides, the West Coast already got BotCon last year.

godzillabot wrote:I frankly think that it could be a Fallen, Nemesis Prime, or a futher advancement in Shattered Glass (I dunno, maybe it could be the originel Movie in shattered glass)
The theme has something to do with the 1980s.

godzillabot wrote:Primus is a huge battle planet bent on consuming the universe
Primus cannot have a Shattered Glass counterpart. He is a Multiversal Singularity. Besides, the SG characters never knew about Primus until G1 Cliffjumper told them, and now they know of him as a benevolent god.

godzillabot wrote:they could have Optimus reincarnated by Primus as...Nemesis Prime
But wouldn't it make sense for a "SG Nemesis Prime" to be a good guy? ;)

godzillabot wrote:Galvatron is given the Decepticon matrix from teh creator of Transformers, Unicron.
Like Primus, Unicron cannot have a SG counterpart.

The caverns of knowlege...

Still, it could be cool if they ever did a shattered glass remake of the movie

You know, I really like the way Shattered Glass Prime and Hot Rod look, but other than that, meh. Granted, I missed Botcon that year and only have SG Ravage. I've not read the story and therefore SG just doesn't do it for me. I'd like Botcon themes to be a little more... independent.

Good idea, actually they did release a repaint of G2 Hero Optimus Prime in Armada. so...could this be a revival of him?

Hmm...let me try to decode this cryptic tweet.

So BotCon will NOT be in 95% of "yours all" backyards. By "yours all" I assume they meant the world. Then that would mean BotCon will be in an area where 5% of the worlds population do live. So with 4.48%(I assume BotCon rounded up) of the worlds population, that would mean BotCon will be taking place somewhere in the United States of America. Am I right?

Considering when those cell phones commercials say they cover 95% of the US, my town is never in that 95%, so this makes me hopeful. Then, of course, I know for a fact it'll never come here to my town. So it's good, but bad. Just stop teasing and give us the location!

That was my first guess after reading the tweet! LOL.

But after more thought, Alaska seems more likely, because they said "drive" as well, and I can't see them hiring a water or air transport just for all the stuff they'd need to ship to the location....
So, after that thought, maybe it will be in the middle of the contiguous U.S. instead, to save costs! Everybody wins by sharing the burden! LOL.

/mindless prattle

There's any number of places it could be.... I joked on another forum how we'd like it to be in Death Valley (for photo-op purposes), and then we got on the topic of Scotty's Castle. Hardly ANYONE lives out there, but I doubt they'd be able to get that as a locale anyway, LOL.

So, to answer the question, we must ask ourselves, where do most of us not live, yet there is a large enough convention center/space for it to be held?!

I don't know why Hasbro does this. Not everyone can afford a pricey trip like that if it is somewhere like *Alaska*. It would be common sense to have it somewhere were a lot of fans can go. I really just hope it's a rumor to mislead us fans on trying to guess the right location.
