(Hollywood, CA…June 5, 2017) It was announced today that exclusive OPTIMUS PRIME TIME opening night events for Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT will be held across the U.S. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. local time at participating theaters.
Moviegoers will be the first audiences in the world to see the highly anticipated film in the highest quality IMAX® 3D and select REALD 3D premium large format theatres across the country.
Ticketholders at these events will receive exclusive collector’s edition TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT Prime Time t-shirts or other promotional items while supplies last at each participating theatre, subject to additional restrictions. For complete details and to buy tickets go to Tickets.TransformersMovie.com.
Director Michael Bay, who shot TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT in native 3D and filmed with IMAX® cameras, will bring to theaters later this month a film that shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero.
Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.
TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT opens nationwide (US) on June 21, 2017.

This movie is going to be good I know it and not just as a Transformers fan but it's going to be a genuinely good film at the very least they would have to drop the ball "hard" and shatter it to be awful.
Words can't describe how much I loved that clip. I can't wait.
Same here! I've been wondering how Lennox would be involved in the TRF, and it's cool to see a reunion between him and Bumblebee.

They showed it in the footage at the IMAX fan event. It's some kind of Cybertronian brand/seal that crawled up his arm and attached itself to him. Cogman said it wouldn't leave him until he completed his mission. It reminded me of the Decepticon watch that attached itself to Sam in DOTM.

Just kidding but actually it does make me think I'm at the point where I really don't want to know any more about the film til it comes out in a few weeks and I can see it all myself.

Here is what I know of the "coin" spoilers below
The green knight those kids find in the ship is the one who hands Cade the coin and the Knight is either wounded here or before he gives Cade the coin and is killed by the TRF later on when Cade first meets Cogman he talks about the thing while it crawls up Cade's arm
The screen shot above is part of the scene and a good look at the "coin" before it goes on Cade's arm.

Basically yeah but without the powers and all the cool stuff so just a cheap ring pop pretending to be one
(To be clear I have no idea if it gives him powers or not but the trailers and the imax fan even don't make it likely and Cogman does tell Cade It will come off once his mission is complete whatever that is but it's probably something related to the Knights ).

Yellow circle is Bee, Purple is Hound, White is Infernocus in big combined form, Red is Hot Rod and if you look closely he is picking up Squeeks presumably to get him out of harm's way, light blue is some other bad guy although I can't tell who it is it might be Megatron or another Infernocus since I believe that there are multiple Infernocons.

Nitro my fave makes it to the final battle at least.
Megatron is in the middle, Nitro on his right, Infernocons on his left and what looks like two Decepticon protoforms on his far right (our left) but their in motion so it's hard to tell but they don't have the infernocon horns.

Purple is Megatron with a running Infernocon behind him, Yellow is Nitro Zeus who I'm calling best con in the movie, blue are Infernocons, red are the (maybe) Decepticon Protoforms and thier carrying one of the "standard" Decepticon firearms from DOTM or at least something of similar shape.
Yellow is Hot Rod, red is Bumblebee and what appears to either be Hound or "Bulldog" hitching a ride.

For those who miss it there is at least one other knight behind the guy attacking the humans also to note the one doing the attacking has a similar if not the same helmet as the guy Optimus Prime stabs so it might or might not be the same guy and Prime is in fact saving them from harm.
The one circled in red might be Megatron or some other villian, blue is just a ship
Red and Blue show that there seems to be two figures combining into Dragonstorm just like the Leader toy.
ENJOY YOUR NIGHTMARES!

Like, when Cade says "This isn't you, Prime", the subs instead say "Oputimasu dōshite?" which means "Optimus why?"
And the line where Cade calls Izzy "Little J-Lo" is translated into phrase that basically means "You're still a brat."

You can read Japanese? That's a cool and useful skill to have!.
The J-lo thing was probably changed due to the reference being more of a western thing.

The article details the less than desirable Box office numbers of Paramount-produced films over the last year, such as the most recent Star Trek movie, as well as pictures like Whiskey Tango Foxtrot and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, all of which (including most of the rest of the Paramount-branded movies last year through now) have hurt the studio financially.
Forbes Contributor Scott Mendelson notes that the prospect of another $1 Billion-dollar smash summer blocksbuster is promising to the studio, and would help make ends meet until additional successful movies hit at the end of the summer into the fall, and while it remains to be seen if the film will be better or worse than the previous chapters, you can see how The Last Knight's Box office success is quite imperative to Paramount's future.
Please head over and read Scott's full article at Forbes.com,
as it gives an interesting context to the upcoming release of TLK.

If Paramount goes down it goes down I'm only seeing the movies I want to see and Transformers so happens to be a paramount film I watch the movies for the franchise not the movie company.
Posted by griftimus prime on June 6th, 2017 @ 8:46pm CDT
i have noticed for a few years now that the paramount box office has been brutal. soon at this point smaller studios will or already are doing better than paramount.
i expect a big opening weekend but worldwide is where the money will be at. also the following week will be the release of despicable me 3. this movie has a real battle on its hands.
good luck paramount.

I want to as well but it's my (self proclaimed) duty to chronicle any new spots.
But I am staying away from early reviews and rumors this time besides a couple of specific questions if they are not answered in trailers.

I'd almost appreciate it if paramount closed its doors because it would give a new studio a crack at redesigning everything with decent character development.

A little. I took two semester courses of it. What I didn't recognize I used Google Translate to help, while recognizing any issues GT had in their translation.Deadput wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Some of those Japanese subs aren't quite translated faithfully.

Though, I can pretty much read Katakana, so the "Optimus why?" line was easy since his name was written in Katakana and I already knew what the Hiragana-written "dōshite" meant.

Especially a brand like transformers. The closer they would have stayed to G1, the more successful it could have been. Pretty girls, fast cars and explosions go so far.

The movies aren't made for the fans, they're made to make money.
They did that successfully.

Mostly yeah. Difference with a franchise is they try to sneak in nods to fans but they're not the core target base.
Dunno why people are still expecting a fan-centric movie.

Well yes everything that you can buy only exists to fill the pockets of other people who in the end use thier money for leisures like every other person, some of them just so happen to be Transformers fans.
It's a circle which goes on and on in a cycle that is ultimately pointless.

Because people always want things and because every person is the "main character" in thier own life they will feel that whatever they think is important based on what they want and "need" should happen and any strong or even small changes from thier opinion is wrong and not the way it should be.

But I'm a Transformers fan since the 80s and the movies and their toys have become my favourite incarnation so does that not make me a fan this movie is made for? Sure as heck is the only upcoming movie I'm gonna put up with the difficulty of travelling to a cinema for.
Hm, would it seem weird for a 37 year old guy to take his voyager Prime and Megatron figures to the screening and stand them up on the lil table we get on the very comfortable reclining seats at that cinema?
