In-Depth Gallery of Voyager Seaspray

Posted by Blurrz Mar 8, 2010 at 6:16pm CST 28,442 views
It seems the motto at Hasbro productions is 'go big or go home', as we've recently seen plenty of our favourite mini-bots become Goliath in larger class sizes. The latest is Voyager Seaspray. While we've seen Seaspray several times throughout the new year, nothing gets as in-depth as this. Courtesy of chenkofs from HK-TF, the figure set for release this summer can be seen up close and personal right now!. Check it out below!

This voyager is sooo fresh! Or maybe it's just the way the pictures were taken that's making me salavate.

I like the use of texture on the blue parts. I don't know what it's called, I'm not very nautical. Sea-S.P. Ray

Call me crazy, but the more I see of this figure, the more I like it. I'll pass final judgement when I've got one in hand... but for now it has potential.

Gotta agree here. The inflatable skirt looks like vinyl or something, which makes it look awesome in vehicle mode.

Hey, maybe I could find a Jackie Chan figure and recreate that scene from that one movie...

Peaugh's got connections. He didn't receive it from retail. People like me and you need to wait till Seaspray and his yellow packaging hit the stores. :KREMZEEK:

The more I see of this guy, the more he grows on me. Pretty sure I'll be picking him up when he hits shelves.

The only thing I can't figure out about Seaspray, is he a Universe figure, a movie/Revenge of the Fallen, or part of a new toy line? I like to draw from them and it is hard to keep track.

I think it's mangled into all three. It's under 'Transformers', and whether that's just purely Movie is something I still need to figure out. Ideally I think he's part of Universe because from my recollection, no such vehicle was in the movie.

Hasbro seems to be edging more and more towards making figures that will fit whatever collection one has. Several of the new guys for this summer seem geared towards being released under the movie franchise but fit right in as part of Classics/Universe as well.

Anyone else notice that Seaspray appears in the latest Transformers Ongoing comic? One frame only in his alt form.

I quite like the idea of super sizing old minibots, gives them the detail that your imagination used to have to give them. Plus, it gives Hasbro the opportunity to move away from churning out the same character over and over.

I don't know if it's already been mentioned or anybody else thinking this, but he kinda looks like Mindset. He was one of Jhiaxus' troops in the G2 comic that was...

I quite like the way they've put his name on. I also like that the flippers fold away. Apart from that, I'm just not interested.

I wonder how many people will complain about him getting super-sized like Powerglide...

Made of win. Except for the open hands.

I'll definitely pick him up, and I really want to see the combination with Breacher.

Dopey head, open hands, chicken legs, sorry, but it's too kidish and a pass for me.

That said, my sons will probably see it in stores and beg for it, so it may end up in my house anyway!

Nice toy.

Not Classics Seaspray though and that's too bad.

I don't have a problem with toys like this, but...I don't like the "Close Enough!" policy for Classics thats floating around right now. That was fine during Armada and the first Universe (2003).

Now we know they can do proper Classic style figures. Close enough just ain't good enough.

probably won't get this one..... I never really did like Seaspray anyway....

The guy is an idiotic, bubble brained weirdo that hits on mermaids!!!!!! Not to mention he turns into a hideous freak when he takes a bath in the "Waters of Changing Crap."

He doesn't even lose his bubbly voice.

Love him.

Only problem is when I look at him in bot mode, all I see is this:
