In Package Images for Titans Return Topsin, Misfire and Windblade

I like that jewel tone ...violet? I can never keep the names of colors straight.

When I heard about this figure I was pretty much "Ugh, another bloody Windblade."

Having seen it though...I kinnnnda want to get her now. The face sculpt and deco are pretty damn nice, the figure itself is decently proportioned (imo) in both modes.

Yeah, I think probably if I see her in the store I'll snap her up.

How many more Titans or waves of Titans are there likely to be? I've sold some of mine but keeping the ones I need to represent certain characters in my collection the best (like voyager Megatron). Even tempted to sell Legends Blurr (though i did mess up the head a bit so won't be for much) as now I have the KO MP Hot Rod and upscaled Generations Arcee by Weijang becoming my '86 movie tribute on my shelf I am likely selling the real Gen Arcee and Legends Blurr looks too small. Heck even Generations voyager Springer looks a smidge too small next to them but suffices for now. Have cancelled Legends Hot Rod and Kup for now too. Think I'm just at a crossroads regarding the G1 part of my TF collection and not quite settled on what I'm doing. At least with my live action movie stuff this is so much easier for me and I've been happily buying TLK toys for that shelf. There's just some more G1 characters I would like good toys of but not sure if they'll ever happen or if they do I think I'd be happier if they weren't Titans.

I can't tell if the upper torso's skeleton has been re-engineered significantly, but Windblade's hips don't lie look like scourge/highbrows.

Yeah she is like many of the figures in this line that share several parts but it's kinda unaccurate to call it a retool.

Also is it just me or does Windblade's red torso armor sort of resemble Wonder Woman's armor? Unintentionaly of course.

I am very glad Takara is giving fans a different option for deco but I don't find myself feeling I get something subpar when buying the Hasbro one. The main thing that gives Takara a step up is the Targetmaster but you are still paying $10 more to have it (not including shipping from Japan) so its not like they are giving you more for the same price. I personally find that a tad bit expensive and prefer the option of getting just the main figure if it means I end up paying a total of $10.23 for the Hasbro version (thanks to rainchecks) as opposed to a total of $35 for the Takara version.

You mean those giant figures we get once a year? There are no waves per say, hey just release one per year and will keep doing so for the forseable future. As for titans return, there is one more wave after this Misfire one. And then its POTP.

I don't have any attachments to the Targetmaster guns as characters themselves to me their just Transforming guns that can speak so no loss getting the Hasbro versions.

Then again I have Takara Hot Rod (To use the Rodimus head on him to be my Rodimus Prime) and Takara Kup (For being better colors and slightly different to Hasbro) on Preorder so if I need to give anyone a gun I'll just use those.

Ugh, what is it with all these late G1 figures having the same ugly ass frickin face, shades+nose+mouth do not a cool and memorable figure make, and I swear half the figures in this line are some crappy derivative of it, this blows, and so do they

Yeah if it stays that color I won't even bother with Takara's. Turns out william-james was right, color me pleased. Which also means I probably won't get Legends Sixshot either. Hooray for not spending exorbitant amounts of money.

And on a side note, that Windblade has went from a pass to a solid maybe. I wasn't feelin' it at Toy Fair but now all she needs are less skinny forearms, wrist swivels, and a better weapon. Luckily I can fix the sword part by using the Generations one.

Don't forget Shuffler and Ramhorn. They do have reference heads, but they fall under the same catagory as Sawback.

Don't forget Shuffler and Ramhorn. They do have reference heads, but they fall under the same catagory as Sawback.

They're both based on the Battle Beast Sledgehammer Elephant, aka Elephan.

Twin Twist is a definite should I be able to get Topspin. Windblade is a maybe, depends on the neck connection, and comparisons with the RiD mold. Misfire... I may need Triggerhappy first.

I had​ the original Twin Twist. I thought about Topspin; but since he looked a lot harder to transform than Twin Twist (not), I decided I'd better not get it. That was a joke since one's just as easy to transform as the other guy.

Artwork looks absolutely cool as the Chaos on Velocitron boxset!

The faces are, but not the actual Titan Master itself.

I had Twintwist as a kid and if both him and Topspin had come out some time before now I probably would get them both (particularly as they were part of the original Marvel UK Wreckers) but not now. There's really nothing in this wave of Titans Return that appeals to me much at all. I'd like Magnus Prime from the Siege set but that's about it. I'm kinda done with these.

I hope Takara does a cool repaint instead of Skipping this Windblade. Such a cool-looking toy, but look at that sloppy paint and number on her belly!

It's probably a production test-shot, the final thing won't have those number stamps.

I ordered the whole wave of deluxes (actually voyagers and leader too, leaving just seaspray for now as he was only avail with cosmos). Looking forward to misfire and eventually slugslinger, great to have decepticons filling out the ranks...

Re windblade I think she looks good, and though looks like a reassemblage of various moulds, I think she's pretty good looking. I have the original deluxe and she didn't transform as well as I'd have liked and was pretty unstable due to her lithe frame.

Tho I'm not a fan of getting updates so soon, really hope they release a new arcee. The previous one is great but again perhaps a bit too light and also, in the American continuity she actually became a headmaster so that might make sense...

I really like these three figures and will definitely be adding them to my collection. I like the Hasbro Misfire better than Takara, for a change. Combiner Wars and Titans Return have been great lines. I really hope the trend (sans stickers) continues.

What is the Optimus/Octane one based on? And the titan master windblade has is a new head thats a new design no?

Optimus/Octane's head is based on a Diaclone pilot, hence the name "Diac". Scorchfire I don't know yet, all I know is that she uses the Fracas/Nightstick (long story) design as the basis.

As Misfire is proof (along with Wolfwire, SkullSmasher, Trigerhappy and plenty others aside from Blurr) Takara wont have more or better paint apps, but instead have different ones which may or may not strike your fancy.

I am still happily mystified by SawBack's titan master. its like they wanted to add more lion to the motif and since the head doesnt turn into a full lion in this version, well at least it would turn into something still lion themed.

I am still happily mystified by SawBack's titan master. its like they wanted to add more lion to the motif and since the head doesnt turn into a full lion in this version, well at least it would turn into something still lion themed.

Shuffler, Ramhorn and Daburu also have animal themed Titan masters which gives them more variety compared to the the billionth Stylor clones and other standard humanoid Titan masters.

Does anyone have any ideas who Cogman from the TLK toyline could be repainted as? Maybe Nightbeat?

Ah, I had not realized that g1 swoop had a visor. Sadly, since I came into this hobby later, reisued g1 toys were easier to aquire and our dear dinobots were never reissued

A couple weeks ago it was leaked that aptly-named skateboard company Primitive Skateboards would be releasing a promotional version of Leader Class Titans Return Optimus Prime done up in their company colors. Today, we have more confirmation that this special release is indeed coming: the box for the figure has been leaked by the same source as the figure itself, and is similarly done up in the Black and gold paint job, with some new artwork of Prime (giving an almost damaged look to him), and reveals the name of his Titan Master, Shreddicus Maximus! Check it out in it's entirety below!
