User CW2009 over at HK-TF has posted new images and a review of his Henkei Sons of Cybertron set. The images are mainly of Rodimus. He said that he liked Rodimus much better than Optimus Prime, so that's why there's only a few pictures of Prime. Thanks to CW2009 for taking the time to post the images of this set!

To be honest I will totally pass on this set and not think twice about it. I don't like the Prime mold and the clear Hot Rod does nothing for me.

I'm with you on the Prime mold, and I'm not particular about the Hot Rod mold, but after getting the Ghost Starscream, I've devloped an affinity toward the clear plastic figures, and that's what tempts me on this set. Not buying it, but tempted.

If the clear Rodimus was available by itself, I'd go for it but I'm not a fan of the Deluxe OP figure. I opted for the Challenge at Cybertron 3 pack instead for another Hot Rod/Rodimus figure as well as another Cyclonus and a good looking Galvatron repaint.

im getting both this set and the challange at cybertron set, mainly cause this set was made for preorder long before the 3 pack set and i wanted a hot rod that was fairly affordable (not $80 opened)
which one do you guys think would look better with the protector armor, this one or the 3 pack hot rod?

Seriously, Roddy's all clear but Optimus has to have opaque shoulder pieces?
Even if I liked this mold, that would kill it for me.

In all honesty it's tough to say sine all we have seen are prototype pics of Protector with the gray finish.. Until a color scheme is shown it remains to be seen..IMO I would try and have this version and a regular classics Roddy..I would toss in a takara one as well as I have a feeling Protector will be a darker red, such as the Takara...

Seeing how I have the Animated set...and both prime and rodimus are real nice, I would not pass this one up either.
They changed the color of the missile, similar to what they did in some of there clear sets. Yeah Prime/Convoy is fugly, but they already did the crytsal Clear Henkie Convoy already, and you see how much you'll pay for that now. Seeing I have two Classics Rodiums (sold #3), I think getting the clear version is cheaper than buying the regular Henkei version for now. We know clear figures can get higher and demand for the clear version will soar.
I don't want to pay higher prices for something I will want, so I preordered this set back in July with BBTS. TFSource has sold out of it's pre-order.

Well, it just so happens that translucent plastic doesn't take stress as well as opaque plastics. It's far too sturdy, making breakage more likely, while opaques can "bend" to a farther degree.
