Justitoys has released the MP Upgrade Package and TFSource.com now has it in stock. TFSource.com had this to say for those who did not order their upgrade yet-

“The good news is if you didn't preorder, we have stock available for order, so as soon as we're caught up on pre-orders we will ship out in stock orders promptly!”

I'm waiting on the reviews for this one. I mainly display in bot mode, but I like the inclusion of the new leg pieces.

Well seeing as how I'll probably never be lucky enough to own an MP Megs, I'm more interested in the WST Sludge and Swoop...

But cool, I'm sure a lot of people are gonna enjoy this.

I take it that you're supposed to pop the factory ones off and snap these on in place?

If you are looking for this on Hasbrotoyshop.com - you won't find it because it's not an official Transformer product.

I think I'll be passing on this, just because I display my MP Megs in robot mode. I'm glad to see the upgrade though, I was hoping they'd do one. It's mostly just that I cant justify paying for it right now. Does anyone know how much it is priced at right now?

Right around the $55 mark, give or take a buck or 2 depending on where you buy it.

I am most curious about the leg plates. Are they really die-cast or just aluminium? And does the black finish match the other black on the legs?

I'll be looking to buy since I have everything MP. Not too interested in the leg parts. Even though I keep mine in bot mode its worth it. The Justi Prime trailer just ended up being a trailer for Ultra Magnus for me.

Me too. I'm more concerned about what type of dis-assembly/re-assembly is reqired to swap 'em out. Any thoughts from current MP-05 owners?

(I'm getting mine w/ the second production in December, but want the upgrade before eBay-ers jack up the price, so I have no clue how the original plates are attatched)

Well I'm not interested in the attachments since I won't transform my MpMegs anymore. Takara Tomy should of included them to begin with. But thanks for the insight!

The assembly should be easy since the leg plate is on a ball and socket joint. It should pop off and on easily.

In the best interest of anyone's fingers who also own the accessory package, i think it is imperative that you check something.

I received my preorder from tfsource, and my friend brought his over since he also recieved his today.

Mine is still misb, but he opened his and we were looking at it and attaching it to mp 05 when i felt a sharp/stinging sensation.

I looked down, and i was holding one of the metal leg plates that comes with the package, and on the inside of the leg, near to where the metal plate attaches to the female ball-socket/hinge that directly connects to mp 05, i saw an anomaly.

As anyone may have noticed in the past with Ko's in general, the injection-mold technique may leave residual plastic hanging off the sides of the figure once the plastic is removed from the mold. In this case, some of the metal apparantly escaped from the mold or at least, was not de-burred or whatever you call it, thus leaving a quite sharp protrusion off of the metal plate. it had recieved a coat of black paint too. I was also noticing some qc issues with the black paint application, little spots here and there were missed from the appearance of the 1 package i have seen.

So, just watch out and see if yours has similair properties.

It is quite simple. The metal plates look just like the original plates. They attach and de-attach in the same exact way. The only other thing you have to do is swap the little plastic bits at the very very bottom of the handle, and those pop in/out very easily also. It really is nothing that headaches are made of.

Did i mention that the upgrade package fires plastic slugs that are included in a baggie? (not on a tree, loose in a baggie) They have a bit of heft/mass to them, i'm so grateful this wasn't produced in the US, as i am a fan of the hefty cinch sack version of projectile gimmicks. Only in turret mode though, not in gun mode. Just like tfc 06. except tfc 06 had its bullets/pellets on a tree and they were maroon. These are black.

That's pretty cool. I imagine that the slugs are fired from the silencer? What is the firing mechanism?

it's basically the same as tfc 06. The same pieces have the same functions.

I thought the plastic bullets shoot out of the gun barrel on TFC 06.

I'm tempted, but I need to know if the black of the new leg pieces is matching the original. I like the idea of having more die-cast in the lower legs.
