In addition to the two figures we saw revealed in colour yesterday, TakaraTomyMall has also the surrounding Transformers Adventure figures: TAV44 Bumblebee and Sideswipe, TAV45 Optimus and Grimlock, and they each come with their Minicons and the clear plastic battle armour.

Next are the two collection packs from the EZ subline, featuring the smaller class of figures, and including TAV48 Bumblebee, Fixit and Winblade vs Thunderhoof, and TAV49 Optimus, Ratchet, Drift vs Clampdown - you can check them all out in the images mirrored below!

Overload gives me a Tarn vibe just change his head to deciptimask and call it a day

All 4 Battle Pack figures are released twice: a normal standalone release (TAV40 - TAV43), then slightly redecoed as "Supreme Armor" and paired off (TAV44 and TAV45).

Takara's doing Ratchet too? Guess that pretty much confirms he'll be in the show this season.

Either that or they're just seizing the opportunity to release an available mold.

We got two new images from TF Yuki's twitter relating to the Transformers Adventure line. One features the Deployers TAV 46 Overload and TAV 47 Crazybolt and the other features some Minicons/Microns with an added peg that is different from any of the Hasbro releases. Fellow Seibertronian Sabreblade explains that tweet in more depth:

Yuki's Tweet [...] is announcing that the Microns for the Adventure subline called "Prime of Micron" are to be released at the end of the month and that new 5mm pegs have been added to the molds. [The image shows] how the Microns' new pegs now allow them to attach to bigger figures' 5mm ports.

I remember them, but only because my son and nephews loved them.

I really like these and the possibility of making a rack and ruin using the Rook mold twice. Too bad fun pub couldn't pull it off anymore.

considering the minicon play-ability up to this point has really been relegated to the deployers only was stupid.you had minicons for characters who had a practically non articulated deployer,and a warrior figure.the peg just makes more since

Seibetronian and Twincaster xRotorstormx pointed us towards a new entry on the Autobase Aichi blog, featuring the Takara Tomy Transformers Adventure TAV 50 (Power Surge) Optimus Prime, including the minicon - who transforms very similarly to the Pterodactyl zord of old - that gives Optimus the extra powers and wings. Wow. Not even a Takara deco can save this damn thing...

Of note is that the Japanese version is instead called "Hyper Surge Optimus Prime" rather than "Power Surge".

That is a nice looking Prime. The hasbro colors are still really cool though for the mold

I will agree that the robot mode looks pretty awesome. But really...it doesn't excuse the terrible 'truck' mode.

No it really doesn't, But most of my figures are in robot mode anyway, so I won't mind terribly

Probably a little off topic and out of date, but I just ordered a TAV Swoop today. I couldn't resist. The price was right(especially since my amazon rewards keep racking up) and he reminds me so much of IDW's Swoop that I had to nab him.

Only downside is that it's gonna take almost a month to get here since it wasn't shipped my 'zon. Does anyone have him? I saw some good reviews but I don't want to set my expectations too high just in case.

Yeah, the transformation seemed a little simple for my tastes, but that bot mode looks really nice to me. I like the lankiness of it a lot. I think my favorite pteradon toy is still Beast Wars Terrorsaur, so I expect this one to probably bump that slot.

Well, the thing is, they're on really weird obligue-angled ball-joints, you can do some great stuff with them, but at the same time, they are 'unique'... but it does allow him to flap his wings in beast mode - it's great
