Many Transformers comic book readers were pleased to hear at this year's SDCC that we'd be getting Transformers #81, with Simon Furman and Andrew Wildman back behind the helm. “This has felt like unfinished business since 1991, when Marvel canceled their Transformers series with issue #80,” Furman told Newsarama. “In the aftermath of the cataclysmic battle against Unicron in issue #75, we (myself, Andrew Wildman and the editor at the time, Rob Tokar) seeded numerous storylines that would — optimistically as it turned out — play out over the next ten or more issues......

Yes!

Though, I really hope Galvatron II, Megatron, Shockwave, and Starscream don't return in these issues. Or at least, don't have them return so immediately. I say this because it was Ratchet or took all four of them out by himself, also having to sacrifice both the Ark and himself in the process. It was really irking how Galvatron II survived the Ark crash and then the G.I. Joe/G2 comics revealed Megatron to have survived as well, and then brought Starscream back to life too. And then Shockwave still lives in both the Classics comics and in some UK-only future timelines.

All these post-Ark crash appearances by these four make Ratchet's noble sacrifice seem to have been in vain, and he was one of the best characters in the Marvel G1 comics. I don't want these guys to return so soon because such sudden reappearances by them would diminish Ratchet's achievement of taking out four Decepticon leaders all by himself.

Well like i have post before ,i hope he (Simon Furman) will clear up the whole "Is Prime the REAL Prime or just a copy cause of the events of issue #24 and Ethan Zachary "SAVING HIM ON A FLOPPY DISC . Plus like someone said when the "Last Autobot :BOT: " used Hi-Q to bring back Prime ,what happened to him and where is Prime's spark from issue 1-24 ? Was it with the Matrix ,that Thunderwing got ,and why was it so dark ? Also was happened to Donny Finkleberg :P :P 8-} ? :KREMZEEK:

I am so pumped for this. I followed the Marvel Comics as a kid more so than the cartoon series, so this is dear to my heart.

There were no Sparks in the Marvel G1 comics. Or rather, the Spark concept did note exist until the Beast Wars cartoon, as it was an idea created by Larry DiTillio and Bob Forward.

I know they(sparks)were not called that until Beast Wars :MAXIMAL: ,but my main point was what ever force or processor(drive)that "RAN" a Transformer ,i believe could not be downloaded on a Floppy Disc . :KREMZEEK:

No one does. It's just some more of the canon absurdity that Budiansky put into that issue.
