Reviews of 2024 Walmart G1 Reissue Optimus Prime in Cartoon Deco with Comparisons

I wonder for how much that Optimus will be priced in Canada?

Also, will we find it at all in stores?

It would do my heart good to actually see this on shelf at my local Wal-Marts, and that show-accurate trailer is tempting...but I still have ol' New Years Convoy, and a ton of stuff I'm behind on collecting, so I probably wouldn't bite unless I was lucky enough to stumble across it on clearance, and I hope they never shelfwarm badly enough to warrant that.

The white surprisingly looks better than it normally would on a toy that usually has chrome.

Feels like forever ago that we first fond out about Hasbro and Walmart's next batch of cartoon colored G1 reissues, but the day has finally come! As part of Walmart's latest Collector Con orders have finally opened for Optimus Prime and Bombshell with Ramhorn. People concerned about the pricing of Prime with his trailer in particular will be happy to know that he's priced at $75, that's quite the contrast to the 2018 reissue of just Prime without the trailer that was $50 on its own! Meanwhile the other set is $35 to finish the Insecticons and give Blaster another tape.

And no, this is not a pre-order, these are ready to go now!

I was tempted to get this as an accessory kit for missing link prime. But maybe I'll just get a trailer alone instead.

Why is this release so expensive? Anyone has any idea? I wanted one but when I saw the prices in pulse I backed away =(

If it's just for the trailer and you don't mind collectability, just get a K.O. Customise the fake bot into "dead Prime" my bashing it with a hammer or something.

Then feel free to customise the crap out of the fake trailer to make it "cartoon accurate" once the Reprolabels inevitably come out. With any luck, they will do the same as they did for SS86 Commander Optimus and give many options that you can buy separately.

Wow, FedEx says my order shipped at 10pm last night and it's already set to arrive TODAY! Dang, didn't expect overnight shipping. And it's not coming from the store or anything, it's coming from way down in PA.

Old release or not, there is not just a factory machine set up ready to stamp these out. Hasbro has a specigic time reserved at the Factory they pkan to make these, then you are at the mercy of the shipping companies, the ports, getting them to Hasbro, Hasbro getting them back out to the Retailers, and Retailers getting their product disperced.

Now how I got deluxe Legacy G1 Prime last week when he was slated f9r my Birthday, I dunno. But shipping musta lined up or Hasbro had an opening in the Production calendar

Below you will find a review for the G1 Ramhorn and Bombshel set. These are part of Walmart’s exclusive series of G1 reissues with cartoon decos. This set was found in Walmarts throughout Canada, with the specific picture below coming from a Quebec location. It is priced $49.97 Cad.

The review below compares the deco from the previous reissues which were more in line with the original toys.

Seeing the deep purple on the original G1 figure just further emphasizes how pink the Legacy Bombshell toy is.

I already have two G1 Optimuses on display (missing link and 25th anniversary). I'm missing the original G1, but he's worth a freaking fortune and avoiding a K.O is like stomping through a minefield.

If the Legacy deluxes ever get rereleased in the 86 line, I'll get them. Elsewise I'm happy with the Prime Wars legends set.

Well, 15$can more from Pulse ain't so bad compared to what it will cost on eBay.

These things sell out too quickly to ever be on sale so, when in doubt, BUY IT NOW. Better have it now and sell the thing later if you change your mind.

We pimped out our ride. We had neither. Now we have both in one.

With all the reviews of the G1 Optimus that I saw, no one noticed nor mentioned that CROTCH details.
Am I the only one who noticed?

Anyway, that's a nice attention to details. They didn't had to do it, but they did.
