ShootfortheEdit offering RotF Blu-Ray Steelbook to American Consumers

We recently showed you the contents of the Future Shop Revenge of the Fallen Blu-Ray Exclusive Steelbook. Future Shop is a retailer in Canada, and it's branch in the United States goes by the company name of Fye. Future Shop will only be carrying the Blu-Ray steelbook, while Fye will have the DVD Steelbook exclusive. The predicament is that Future Shop does not ship internationally, leaving American Blu-Ray collectors, specifically Blu-Ray & Transformer collectors in the States with unhappy results. However, Nelson of Shootfortheedit, the forums for Michael Bay's website, is trying to help out the American fanbase.

Here's what he has to say.

Just got word that the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Blu-ray SteelBook (below) will only be available in Canada via Future Shop (the DVD SteelBook will be available in the US via Fye). And Future Shop doesn't ship abroad.

So I'm in the process–personally–of getting some copies and shipping them to those that are interested. I am personally selling them (these WILL NOT be autographed by anyone and proceeds will not be going to charity).*

So, if you're interested in reserving a copy, I will selling them here.

http://www.shootfortheedit.com/site/sto ... -imax.html

I will stop taking orders until October 16. Expect 2-4 weeks for delivery.

Also, I will be personally taking orders for Transformers Revenge of The Fallen Blu-Ray IMAX (2-disc) for those that desire the Imax version but have no access to Walmart abroad.

*Prices are subject to change without notice.

I have 5 DVD/Blu-Ray copies of the first movie. I will more than likely have as many this time around. All Blu-Ray though!

I only want the edition that has Michael Bay's "humor" edited out. Tell me which edition that is, and I'll nab it.

The movie would only be about 30 minutes long then.

Geeeezzus!!! The guy wants $50 for the BR Imax and $125 for the Steelbooks -domestic and int'l. PLUS tax, PLUS $10 shipping. Can you say SCAL PERR??! Really helpin people out there buddy. If u wanted to do that u wouldn't charge such a ridiculous markup. I was contemplating the steelbook BR too. Walmart it is then, for Imax. I like FYE, but I want BR steelbook, not dvd. This guy is not 'for the people' (This dude's gonna pay $37 w/tax for the Imax tops and $50 for the steelbooks tops, don't act like we're dumbasses)

I would like to have a copy of the steelbook bd but ain't no way i'm buying from this moron. i'd rather pay ebay markups, or perphaps try to get certain canadian members of the forums here to help a dude out. ;;)
And as far as all these different editions coming out, it's just ridiculous. i'm getting the wally world bd definitely, and as i stated i'd like the steelbook bd, but this is getting ridiculous. I mean come on, if you really want to sell us all 5 versions of the same movie, make it a box set and have each version turn into one of Devastator's parts, i'd buy it then. At least it would be semi-practical to me.

... It would be cheaper just driving over the border and getting one. Wow.

I like this idea!

As much as I want the steelbook, I think I'll wait to see if it's listed on ebay. 125$ is too much. I suppose I'm off to Wally World on the 20th. All of these variations of the same movie are giving me a headache.

As much as I'd like the Steelbook version there is no way I'd pay somebody that kind of markup for it. It's ridiculous.

Actually yeah... If you're American and really inclined to get this... just take a trip across the 49' Border and grab it at Future Shop, save like $60.

What's really confusing is that recent Walmart ads are now listing the IMAX Blu-Ray as the "Big Screen Edition" and that BR's cover looks very much like the Steelbook, albeit not steel. :???:
