These wont be released in the US, so the only ones you’d find on the secondary market outside japan would be from collectors.

But yes, as a Power Rangers collector, the secondary market is futile. You must buy it asap when its in stock or you pay a fortune for a complete one later

Usually the limbs don't look that great, but I'm kind of digging the T-Rex and the Triceratops on their own...

Megs looks worlds better than Prime.

We have a lot more Transformers Wild King for you. Below is a video revealing the toyline. We also have high res images of the new toys. The multiple shots of the limb bots reveal that they are all the same core mold with different animal parts attached. Those parts can be detached and reattached, as part of the partsforming gimmick which is usually seen more in Bandai's Super Sentai lines.

We also have Amazon Japan links. These are available to be ordered by fans in the west. The toys aren't cheap though, with the main Optimus and Megatron sets coming in at around $50 USD, before shipping and possible tariffs. As of right now, that Optimus Prime set is the number 1 best seller in action figures on the site. Also, as of now this seems to be a Japanese exclusive line.

I'm going to be real - I kind of really like these guys! But I'm saving for a trip, and am from the US, so I doubt I'll get to experience these. I tend to enjoy the JP only lines: BWII, BW Neo, Go, Arms Micron... *sigh*

It appears that whatever 5 and 6 are aren't up yet. Makes sense as only the four animals are shown.

I just realized as I was doing the article that all limb bots are the same mold slightly retooled from on to the next with the biggest changes not actually part of the mold, but instead the animal bits which are partsformed onto them.

The animal legs actually use mushroom joints so they're easily swapped out during production, the robot heads may be as well with a different type of joint like a ball, while the only parts meant to be detachable are the heads and tails. In fact, we may see mold pairings as the Mammoth and Triceratops share leg molds (and the back legs have two feet). Almost feels like Machine Robo Mugenbine, except with less parts.

There seems to be an elemental part to as well, with Fire, Water, Leaf and Lightning. Interesting

Looking at Optimus and Megatron, not too bad. I see the legs become the shoes in Combined Mode... but where do the arms go?

Not seeing anything in this line that tempts. It's too close to the old "Hero Mashers" for my taste. My shelf space is reserved for figures that are more... advanced.

I'm guessing they're stored inside the legs/feet. But they're also double pegged so they can probably go the shoulders as an alternative since none of the beasts seem to use those holes yet.

Megatron seems to get blasters and guns, while Prime only gets melee weapons and fists. Interesting distinction.

I do like the design aesthetic of Optimus basically having his power through a Matrix in his chest, but whatever Megatron is doing is chained to his chest. It's a great character appropriate distinction between the two.

Only these two sets have any information on their pages. The pages for the other toys have no such text.

I wonder why Megatron has such a heavy hinged panel on his inner leg? Prime seems to have them on the back of his legs. It doesn't look like it's used for the transformation and it has tread detail that wouldn't be visible in tank mode. I wonder if they've built in a way to incorporate all 6 limb bots into one leader. I'm probably just reading too much into it, maybe these aren't as simple as they look and they're actually trying to prevent lark gaps and empty space. Now that's a novel idea.

Their arms are stored in their legs when you combine them with the Energy Beasts. The doors on their legs open and you shove their arms in there. They're parts storage and nothing more.

I mentioned that earlier in the thread, but that's far more than most figures like these get. Even Studio Series doesn't have particularly great parts storage for weapons and limbs. Can't help but think there's more to it.

It's not a perfect translation, used Google Translate to start (just to make things faster and more efficient for me) and then used my own (admittedly more on the limited side) knowledge of Japanese + some small artistic license to clean up the translations and make them easier for a native English speaker to read. Takara's exclusive Wild King line is out now and fans are posting images online. Many also got the free weapons kits that are redecos of the FOC Grimlock weapons in 4 different colors. While the images show us the various configurations, we also now get a sense of scale. Optimus and Megatron are voyager height, slightly taller than the generations Optimus toys from the recent lines. The limb bots are deluxe sized. The images do confirm that the limb bots don't differ much in tooling from on to the next aside from their front and back removeable animal bits. You'll let us know what you think!

I don't think we really appreciated how big these figures are until we saw these pictures. Shame the tariff rollercoaster meant a lot of didn't pre-order these. Hope whoever bought them is ready for a Chinese price hike to be added on.

The tariffs are for the items' country of origin, meaning the country they're manufactured in, not where they're sold from.

Anyway, I just love Canada's hypocrisy that complain about Trump's tariffs when they are tariffing themselves. They impose mandatory taxes on all eBay purchases and if anyone import anything that is worth above 100$, bang, we get hit.

Anyway, the base price of these things are pretty expensive so I don't want to pay taxes and shipping on top of that.

But that's not a tariff. That's just sales tax which the US also has, as does the UK (VAT) and most other countries.

Sure we also get a 10$ admin fee, but that's not a tariff either. A tariff is an additional percentage fee on top of the sales tax. Canada does not have that on items imported from Japan.

Specifically, Takara Tomy figures initiated by them (Masterpiece, most of the T-Spark stuff) are made in China, stuff they share with Hasbro (Generations molds, Earthspark molds) are made in Vietnam.
