TakaraTomy EZ Transformers ROTF Collection Update

Does the new Transformers movie, Revenge of the Fallen, leave you wanting more and more Transformers toys? Check out what is soon to be available from TakaraTomy. The non-Constructicon Transformers are out in Japan, and we have a package image for you, as well as, new images from the TakaraTomy Transformers website.

TakaraTomy also has updated their website with their EZ collection (legends class) showing the 7 Constructicons in their alt mode images, and when you mouse over the middle purple section, it shows the combined form...Devastator!

Also, is a page linking to the other robots that have also been released here at US retail and have now been released in Japan: Optimus Prime, Jetfire, Megatron, Starscream, Sideswipe, Ratchet, Bumblebee, and Springer.

Real Devastator has also shared a picture with us from HK-TF.com showing the packaging for the EZ collection releases of the legends size figures. RD also shares that he has seen the non-Constructicon based Transformers all at retail stores. Notice in the image that the packaging is blind, no windows for you to see which TF you are getting. Japanese toy collectors should be familiar with this approach to smaller toy size, and collectibles releases.

The Devastator assortments are due out in July in Japan, and should be available from online stores soon after.

This little Devastator is pretty cool, but I find 55$(this is the price I saw at BBTS)too much for 7 legend class figures. With 2x this money you get the big one.And we all know that size matters.....

You are talking about fully transforming individuals, right?
Yes,this is a great advantage of this figure but I think I'll wait for a Hasbro version of it,because I don't intend to pay 70-75$(toy+shipping)for legend class figures. However,if we learn that there will be no Hasbro version or is going to be exclusive or something,I will think seriously getting these great little guys no matter the cost...
:-?

I personally looked at some of ez boxes myself yesterday. The front part really doesn't show what toy are we getting. However behind the boxes, there are info about the content. Also some artwork about the transformation steps, like prime from robot to truck mode.
So at least we don't buy toys like buying lottery. No worries on that part

Don't forget: if it's $55 to preorder from BBTS, then retail price will be at least $5 less than that - probably somewhere between $39.99 and $49.99.

As per usual guys, if anyone's desperate for J-exclusives I'll do my best to pick them up.
RD, do you know where these guys'll be sold? Are they being sold in any of the combinis?

Singapore, Hong Kong have it.
This 8 sets in a box, are those legends characters we have seen from Hasbro.
Constructicons only release middle of July 09. Exact date not known yet.

Btw, due to some preorder arrangement, i may have 2 sets of EZ devastator.
So i may need to sell one of the set. I just sell cost to cost.
But details of this confirm later..... Not fix yet
