Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Arriving in Rest of EU Market

Posted by Va'al Dec 17, 2014 at 7:57am CST 16,188 views
Fellow Transformers fan from Germany, StarblightSkylynx, has notified us of an update on the arrival of the Transformers Generations Combiner Wars to the rest of Europe and there is good news for non-UK fans: it appears Toys'R'Us has confirmed, at least for Germany, the arrival of the line will happen sometime late December and early January - but what does this mean for the US market? Will the figures arrive at general retail soon too? If your German is up to scratch, head here to read more.

I stopped by to let you know, that Hasbro and Toysrus confirmed that the Combiner Wars toyline began shipping to the stores in Germany. They also said, that we can expect the toys on shelves late December/ early January.

It is possible, that German neighbours (Belgium, Netherlands, France, etc) will see them on shelves at the same time.

More Bots. More News. More Awesome.

I'm gonna call bull. Yes, Hasbro will make them available. Just like always. No, toystores will not order them. Just like always.

Added bonus, importing had become cheaper than walking across the street into a toystore. Deluxe in a toystore: €27.95, ordering online €21.

No store will carry Generations period, except for the odd ones during the FOC line. Worse, in the Netherlands Toys 'R Us is online only, so no Generations for us store-going folk. I do know a store in Delft that has some "extra stuff" like the AoE Dinobot Riders, but it's few and it's sitting on them for years: I can still find DotM Cyberverse stuff at full price. :BANG_HEAD:

That is my fear too, having seen what has been going on in Italy with Transformers recently.

Having said that, I do remember Generations being sold up to about DOTM figures hitting retail.. :-?

As good as this news may be, for me it will mean nothing. As is my most recent hurtful experience, retailers in my country do not sell Generations line transformers.

Which is so very-very sad as the Robots in Disguise-line (which is all that they sell at this point) is utter crap since the ending of Prime-ascociated merchandise.

*EDIT: And I understand I'm not the only one with this problem...

Don't normally watch reviews, but this guy nailed it.

Did I mention I'm excited for the line?

If Thew were up to date on current releases, I'd abuse my admin powers to feature only his reviews.

But he is not.

It gets expensive trying to order all of Hasbro's stuff on eBay to beat everyone else to the youtube ad click-farm fest.

Yep, needs the head or it'll just not look right.

I really like Classics Mirage, but I'm also a massive combiner fan! So much so that I am actually considering replacing my 3P Optimus, Superion and any other official or unofficial toy. Also have FP M3 (that is an obvious replacement as my biggest TF purchasing regret) and will still get TFC Prometheus once the set is released and will love having multiple versions.

Also, that was an awesome review!

Optimus, Silverbolt and Windcharger are now in my PoL! Powerglide should be joining them soon...

If the Deluxe guys are close to arriving then I have a problem, do I ship now and cop some extra shipping costs or wait and suffer the pain of not have more combiners!

Some more Transformers Generations Combiner Wars news, this time for Australian fans, thanks to a tip from Seibertron.com board admin Burn. According to OZformers admin griffin, who has been digging for information with retailers, the new lines will be hitting in February at the earliest. Read more below!

With the recent release of RID toys in America and Europe, plus the expected release of Generations toys and the Year of the Goat toys by the end of the month, I asked the local branch if or when these toys will be released in Australia.

As usual, a big thanks to them for these details....

Generations - the major retailers are likely to start stocking them Feb/March, and if we/they are lucky, minor retailers (like ToysRUs) might be convinced to take stock before then.

Robots in Disguise - the toyline will be released here in March to go with the screening of the cartoon starting in March (probably on payTV like last time).
Apparently, the US are officially launching their RID line in January because that's when the cartoon starts on Cartoon Network there... so these pre-Christmas toys are probably just an American retailer making the most of the bigger toy sale period.

Year of the Goat - both Optimus and Soundwave should be here in decent quantities, but most likely held until June for the mid-year toy sales.

Nice to know that they will be coming down under, but I'll stick with BBTS. Just paid for 2 voyager and 1 legend + shipping and it was (after currency conversion) a few dollars cheaper than 2 voyagers at retail. Paying a little less to import and getting them 2 months sooner is preferred!
