With all the news that came out of The Tokyo Show over the past weekend many of you may have missed this, but the Takara Tomy Transformers Go! Swordbot Samurai and Swordbot Shinobi combiner teams will be released as gift sets in December.

Site sponsor TFsource put up pre-orders for both sets over the weekend, which include images of all three of the Shinobi team's combined forms.

I swear, the more I look at the Rescue Bot Wannabes, the more I don't like their combined modes. >:oP

But the Zoo Team still looks kickin', even with Jaws the Derpy Shark and Tweetie the Derpy Phoenix being so... derpy. :lol:

I think it's pretty weak how all three modes of each combiner have the same weapon. You'd think they'd be able to spice things up a little.

I like the shoulder mounted rockets launchers of the beast combiner when the phoenix is the primary. It's actually giving the middle guy a purpose besides adding weight.

Is Tomy/Takara intentionally trying to make this series as ugly as possible? Even combined this is one ugly toy.

I'm looking forward to seeing in package images of the Swordbot Shinobi Team so we can get some official English spellings of their names.

Our friends at the Japanese fansite Autobase Aichi have posted a trio of catalog images that gives a better look at several of the upcoming Takara Tomy Transformers Go! figures. The figures include:

GoHishou: 空 Sora (sky)
GoSensui: 海 Umi (sea or ocean)

Any leads on the individual names for Abominus?

Didn't one of the magazine scans already show the colors for Ratchet, Smokescreen, Arcee, supreme Predaking and Abominus? So why are they hiding the three of them pictured here? Oh well but I do really like the GO! colorations of the Predacons as well as Ratchet, Starscream and Soundwave as they can all pass for entirely new characters from the Hasbro releases.

I love the look of Gaidora, but the rest of these Go! Predacons aren't doing anything for me. Budora's looking not too bad, but his colours are thematically quite similar to Takara's version of Ultimate Predaking (which I must own.) I'll reserve final judgement for the in-hand images.
