I think Marcelo did all the painting. But don't quote me on that.

Hard to tell but there was five on the shelf so they got at least three cases worth (pretty sure he came in a solid case). They did not have the Bumblebee set, may have sold out, but I doubt it. They did have something else from TLK that might explain where all these Overlords are coming from.
That was $6, but I already have it.
Going to try the other local store Saturday to see if they got anything interesting.

Not one bit, although, technically, I got the Takara Tomy Transformers Legends version instead of the Hasbro Titans Return version.

Yes and no. I have all the titans so far and he is probably my least favorite. My biggest regret was paying full price. To me his best feature is as part of the huge city I can build, but that takes up so much space that I don't get enjoy it as often. However with Omega Supreme being TR base compatible, my feelings might grow a bit on him once I have Dai Atlas and OS in hand to make and even bigger city.

Maybe if I had one, but I jumped in wallet first and got the better looking Legends version instead and I don't regret that. Only thing I wish he had was his regular hand gun and his side guns, but the sword helps make up for it.

Not really, since Cerebros is awesome, Cog goes nicely with him, and I 3D Printed him a cool sword too. I think he's my favorite Titan in terms of looks and colors together.

It only ships to US but there are plenty of forwarding options where you can buy in the US and have them ship it to you, like borderlinx: http://www.borderlinx.com/US/en/
That will probably be your cheapest option
Oh cool. I didn't know companies like that existed. I'll have to check it's shipping rates. Thanks!
Yes, they're great, to anyone living out of the US! Borderlinx isn't trading anymore, but I recommend https://www.eshopwedrop.co.uk/ for getting the US toys

Nope! I mean, I only got mine last year, but still. I love him, and made my own Master Sword for him. And I love that Hasbro beat the 3P layabouts to the punch on making Cog to go with him.

Digging this thread up because of an observation I made while fiddling with Overlord today, one that prompted some speculation on my part.

I noticed open slots in the bottoms of his chest sockets. Now, they could just be mold hollows - I freely acknowledge that. But they could also be slots intended for triggers that would be tripped by inserting Titan Masters, which makes me wonder if TR Overlord was originally supposed to have popout guns like his original toy did rather than them being just molded into his chestpiece.
Apologies if this has come up before.
Posted by Emerje on March 19th, 2020 @ 1:53am CDT

On that figure they were used to remove the Godmaster, which I wonder if was originally supposed to be the case on the TR version before filling in the side for some reason? Would be weird if it was just there to be a homage to the original mold. I'm sure that empty space saved them about a quarter of a cent in plastic.

ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:I don't think we're quite on the same page here. I'm saying that on TR Overlord, there's a completely open slot in the bottom of the socket itself running from 2-3mm in all the way to the back.
Ah, I see what you mean now. Pretty sure that's just so the Legends version could clip the engines in the chest without being yanked out.
There's a slight ridge on the bottom of the engine that lines up with the slots. There used to be better pictures, but that's the best I can find.

Overlord has some funky stuff going on. Like the detail on his inner torso piece being based on the Gigatank's plug-in missile battery even though it serves no use there. Or the absence of a clip to properly carry the Gigatank with, even though the Megajet carrying the tank from below in Masterforce is where that design idea came from. And the Legends version failed to fix that issue.

The thing about Titans is that their sheer size makes them costly enough to produce that HasTak want some assurance of sales. That being said, it's not out of the question - we did get Grand Maximus, after all. Perhaps soon enough a preorder campaign will be initiated for a Guardian Robot/Omega Sentinel. I'd be down for that (although odds on me being able to contribute are iffy), that color scheme looks lovely.
Although I can think of a redeco (and retool) who's more likely to get a preorder campaign first (unless they feel confident enough to do him without one): BlackZarak.

I'm more partial to Scourge than to Highbrow, but then I've always liked Scourge's design and original altmode. And I love the little touch that you can stick Scourge's head on the top of his aftcastle to recreate the pop-up head bit from the movie.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I feel like Highbrow was a little bit of a sleeper of the line. Ah, Windblade. She really needs a reissue.

I think the quality of my Highbrow figure made me overlook it when ranking the figures in the line.

With God Neptune *hopefully* coming out at the end of the month, I've been searching for a Legends Class 6th member, as it's just something I like to do for all my combiners whether it was designed or not.
I think TR Legends Class Gnaw would fit in nicely. I was wondering if anybody who has one (or even the one from the Quint Pit of Judgement), could get a little creative and see if Gnaw can function as a weapon, or even a backpack or some sort of accessory for a combiner? If I had one Id do it myself, but i'm considering picking one up if it works.
Any assistance is appreciated.

Yeah, these were shown in the Fans First Friday video this morning. They're Walmart exclusives and use the Takara Legends tooling and decos, so they're essentially Legends reissues rather than the Titans Returns versions, much like the Decepticon Clones two-pack released in Earthrise.Overcracker wrote:Looks like Hasbro is re-releasing some TR figures. The line's name was given as the "Retro Headmasters" line, but it remains to be seen if that's actually the line's name or just a descriptor used in the video.

Incorrect. These figures do use the Takara Tomy Legends tooling for each character, but the decoes are unique. They are substantially different from both the Hasbro Titans Return versions and the Takara Tomy Legends versions in color hues and layouts and on the tampographed details. These represent a THIRD deco option for all of these characters/molds. It's too bad that Brainstorm has the mouthplate-less head sculpt because of using the Takara Tomy tooling.

Yeah. But at least he has the vibrant turquoise instead of the Legends version's washed-out turquoise. He's closest deco-wise to the Walgreens Brainstorm, but with that figure's dark gray changed to a darker (and somewhat bluer gray), and a different layout.Wolfman Jake wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Yeah, these were shown in the Fans First Friday video this morning. I saw a Sky Shadow ending tomorrow on ebay that is currently at $17.40 with only 1 bid. Good Luck!

Well we got Quake in TR with those figures, and even though he's not an original headmaster, Hasbro might find it easier just to rerelease him. But yeah, I would also LOVE a new Cerebros.Wolfman Jake wrote:What I really want out of this Walmart "Retro Headmasters" line is a release of Cerebros with Spike in a cartoon accurate deco. I've always wanted one to display with the rest of the Season 4 Headmaster characters, but never wanted to double dip on a whole second Fortress Maximus. I'm hoping that Cerebros will round out the second wave of Headmasters. If we're getting Chromedome, Hardhead, Brainstorm, and Mindwipe in Wave 1, that leaves only three more characters for Wave 2: Highbrow, Skullcruncher, and Weirdwolf. Adding Cerebros in there would round things out to give us an even four and four between the two waves.

Since they are packaging them in alt mode, I want this to happen just so I can see him packaged as a severed Fort Max head. Sadly, they would probably just go with the "control tower" mode instead.
