Thanks to the Botcon Twitter page as well as some of our own staff who are attending the convention, we now have updates regarding the special figures being released this year at Botcon! The figures are as follows:

-Megatron from Robots in Disguise 2001 Megatron ($89)
-Airazor from Legends Slipstream ($49)
-Tigatron from Botcon Ravage ($49)
-Unit-3 from the Dead End/Streetwise Mold ($49)
-Golden Ticket: Flash Sentry from the Legends class Shockwave mold (3-pack, $59)

Notice how its a 3 pack of reflectors? Supposedly, combining them together makes a camera.

Its only one per person though, people cant take 2, maybe its better off waiting for them to be on the club's store, you'll pay less that way.

And you can get him on e-bay after since thats what many of these people are doing anyways.

It makes sense when you think of it but if one is not at Botcon or has made previous arrangements to get the figures, the best time to get a figure will be later when the interest has gone away.

Question tho: Unit-3 being a car points to him being a member of the Maximal Command Security Force which Tigatron was part of as "Unit 2" (Unit 1 was dubbed Nitrostreak):

That golden ticket figure is really underwhelming. I'm not sure what they could have done to make it better. I'm sold on all the souvenirs now except for the Reflector 3 pack. I'll have to see it first.

But what you dont know is that you can combine the reflectors into a camera. This is actually combiner wars reflector and was meant for retail (so yes Jelze, its a pretooled head). They were meant to combine but instead of getting the 3 pack at retail, we got Shockwave who is the retool.

Devastator can hold the combined camera mode of reflector in his arms, that was the scale hasbro was going for. However, Reflector ended up being left as a botcon exclusive by Hasbro.

I have known this for a while now but couldnt say it. Its not because I am news staff that I got this info but because my friend wrote the bios. He was the one who came up with having Under 3 (aka Unite 3) be part of Botcon and he was the one who told Hasbro they should go with a Beast Wars theme this year. He wanted that McDonalds toy to finally get a decent toy. There is no lion head but the homage is that he has the same mold as tigertron so all the big cats (jaguar, tiger and lion) have the same mold in this Botcon set. He has a different head though. The toy colours are made to match the inner robot found in the lion head.

And yes the bio will reveal that his placement in the academy and army or whatever (I am not well acquainted with this) is tied with Tigertron.

Just as there were two Beast Era guys called Silverbolt and a LOT of 'bots at the end taking the names of the fallen there is nothing to definitively say who BW Inferno was before BW, though he was a blank slate by the time of BW anyway so he could be made of G1 Inferno's parts. Or not. But it is certainly a possibility that did not exist before.

I'm back, and I see that the boxed set bios have been posted. What I was referring to before wasn't related to Inferno (I know not what that's all about), but instead pertains to Cicadacon.

Check out what his bio and Sea Clamp's bio say about Cicadacon:

"Emotionless Decepticon who conducted experiments on his fellow Decepticons and was almost killed by Unicron in 2005."

Sound familiar?

It doesn't even feel necessary. Or even make that much sense. It feels like just another attempt to cram even more G1 stuff into Beast Wars, only more haphazardly than ever.

And the bit about the Cicadacon being one of the earliest Cybertronians to come online would then make his true self old as dirt. Like, Alpha Trion-old, which was never before given to be the case about that guy.

The bio is insinuating that Cicadacon is Shockwave(or rather that Shockwave was an amnesia induced shell program of a wounded pre-war Cicadacon).

First, the whole "Spawn of Unicron" thing in the show was meant to be an insult that the fandom(and later media) decided to take on face value. It was another "this show is connected to that earlier one!" mentions that they loved doing and we fans/nerds had to be ourselves and get all pedantic and literal about it.

Secondly, these bios are suggesting that they DO have different origins from the rest of the Predacons by being part of the original generation of pre-faction Cybertronians.

He could be (at least in a former life) who you are thinking of, but he may not be... There are pieces of the puzzle that haven't been revealed, but the BW Sourcebooks say they were Decepticons and BW the cartoon says they had an origin that was not tied to the destiny of the Decepticons... Only Cicadacon knows who he really is...

Which I find odd, since tarantulas says that in BW destroying the ark wouldn't damage the council because his origins and the councils are from 'somewhere else' which I always took to mean Unicron, which Megatron references at some point too. But the bw comic universe isn't canon to the bw show universe, so I guess it doesn't matter

First, the whole "Spawn of Unicron" thing in the show was meant to be an insult that the fandom(and later media) decided to take on face value.

Secondly, these bios are suggesting that they DO have different origins from the rest of the Predacons by being part of the original generation of pre-faction Cybertronians.

I'm honestly and personally ok with them having Unicronian origins, truth be told. I've never been all that invested in BW, so I'm not to fussed. I'm going to be ignoring these bios anyway to fit them into my personal fanon where their origins are still left unexplored and mysterious(for the time being).

Woah wait hold on a sec guys, how does this really change anything? Isnt Botcon fiction in its own universe, just like IDW is seperate from G1. These are ust G1 inspired stories and bios that live on in their own world. Its just a take on things. Doesnt mean that the same Shockwave from the G1 comics of he G1 show is now Cicadon.

Was Jihaxus an autobot? I think the ramhorn bio said he was once an autobot.
