An add for Chevy Europe has appeared at es.motorfull.com, a spanish website, that pokes fun at Swerve, the Chevy exclusive Transformer that could only be purchased in the US when you at least test drove a Chevy Aveo, and very recently was available online via Chevy Europe's website.

From what my limited Spanish can translate, the add states:

Chevrolet Aveo: Finally, a decent car advertisement.

Just when I thought I wouldn't see a decent car ad, Chevy heard my prayers and gave us this promotion.

Playing off the popularity of the Transformers, Chevy used this ad to show us that sometimes, electronics aren't that beneficial to us.

Now, we get an intelligently done, humorous commercial for an automotive vehicle that doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Hmm i always find these adverts a bit cringe-worthy. I think its just sad that ad designers aren't good enough at their job create an original ad campain, just use something old.

Although its a chevy advert and they had tons of vehicles in the Transformers movie, so i guess its ok.

It's a clever add. The ad is not the one that declares itself as clever, the article about the ad does. The author of the article states that it is a clever parody of the Citroen ad. :-P

I don't get it: Chevy uses a Transformer movie and toy to promote it's cars, then uses one to bash other car commercials.
