First Look at TakaraTomy Trans-Scanning Bumblebee Figure and Black Arcee Repaint

Booo, cant see the bumblebee very well.

Snap on earth vehicle armor? Neat.

Well, I can only see the first pic, none of the TFW pics, but it lloks like a Protoform Bumblebee with snap-on kibble. Not what I expected, and very clever.

Hopefully it transforms.

Logged into my old TFW account (been 4 years since I logged in), and she is a sight to be seen.

Can't see the attachments. Can someone please mirror? (Use a Photobucket or something, so it's not on the server's forums in case they throw a hissy fit over there.)

They look pretty cool from what you can make out.

Wish TAKARA TOMY sold over here the way HASBRO does.

Im thinking that the trans scan ones are protoforms that you can put the car parts on. If they can tansform the figures might be cool.

Transcanning Bumblebee reminds me of the Centurions cartoon and toys from the 80's. I loved that series and always wanted the figures (I think they made five!). I even collected all 3 comics that were published. They were kind of like human Transformers (earth, sea and land based):

I love the concept, A decent Protoform, with snap on Armor when he decided to change his appearance.. leave it to the Japanese to ramp up the model and hobby aspect of the movie characters.. Whoo HOO!!! Nice, I will definitely buy those.. I wonder if they will be very detailed and articulated..??

And oh, Almost forgot, I gotta Nab me a "SISTA" Arcee...

If that's indeed what this is, and it does in fact transform, Awesome idea! Sounds like one of the better gimmicks they've come up with, and if the execution is up to scratch, they're onto a winner. It'd be extra cool if it came with parts for both Camaros.

Definitely looks like a must-have item. Going by the chart, this'll come out after Allspark Power. It looks like mid-March for the Japanese release.

Hope it's not a Japan exclusive item.

I also see they're releasing a repaint of one of the older Primes in movie colours as some sort of dvd offer. Good idea.

I noticed something else. Looks like Screen Battles 'Capture of Bumblebee' might have a new metallic paint-job. I don't know about anyone else, but it's news to me if it does.

Arcee in black is terrible in my book. (The original color scheme works so much better.)

The snap on armored Protoforms...eh. I'll wait and see.

But those Allspark Power Deluxe and Voyager class figures...sweet. Like plastic candy.

Black Arcee is looking good, the sticker over BB isn't helping.

Seems that the Allspark power line will not be end of the movie merch then.

if i could just get that Metallic Ironhide i guess i could count myself out the the TFTM game, what a shameful way for Hasbro/Takara to milk money out of an otherwise good line.

I hope black Arcee will have a different name, ie. a different character with a different bio rather than just somethnig lame like Nightwatch Arcee.

Whats with the Bumblebee next to the tow truck ? Did they make him in his battle damaged version with no legs and a battle mask ? I'll have to get me that is they did, It looks pretty cool .

It's part of those "Battle SCene" packages or something that re coming out, with the hummies.

From pictures I've seen, the legless Bumblebee looks to be a static untransformable model. Doesn't look to have the battle mask. Unless there's a decent amount of articulation, I'll probably pass.

Funny, I've never once heard someone claim a black repaint of a toy was pandering to minorities... it's so ignorant and absurd, I never imagined someone would even make such a comment.

Ok, seriously people!!!!!! We need large clear images of those figures nOW!! NOW !! nOW I SAY!!! I've been scouring countless Asian Blogs and no images or scans... frustration is setting in!! I need to see if they are gonna be Metallic colored Protofroms or just that plain old crapopy grey that Hasbro has Patneted.. Also do they Transform, or are they just figures with Articulation?? We need answers!!
