Our own shockwaveuk has brought us some bad news for Transformers fans in the United Kingdom.
Transforce 2007 has been cancelled. The following message has been posted on the
Transforce website:
"Unfortunately I have had to postpone Transforce 2007. This is mainly due to financial considerations. I hope very much to be able to announce a new date either late in 2007 or in early 2008.
I hope this does not cause too much inconvenience, and as always thank you all for your continued support.
Don't forget there is still Auto Assembly 2007!"

Fellow Seibertronian
VDantes has provided some infromation that Peter Cullen will be attending the upcoming Anime Matsuri Convention, which will be held in Houston Texas April 27th-29th. Here is what he told us.
Hello everyone, I just now decied to join after quite a bit of lurking as I've just gotten a wonderful piece of news! Peter Cullen is going to be one of the special guests at the upcoming convention, Anime Matsuri, in Houston TX April 27-29!
I was recently invited to be a special guest as well and I've been so stoked about getting to meet him that I have to tell as many people as I can about it and I figured, who better than my fellow TF fans?. I have to say my mind is completely molten from the prospect of shareing a guest list with one of my all time greatest childhood heros and I hope to see many of you there.
Cheers,
Danny - VDantes
For more information head over to the Anime Matsuri Convention webpage
here.

Our own Atreyu will be hosting a mini-convention for Nordic Transformers fans. On top of that there will be an Exclusive figure offered to those who attend! Here is what Atreyu had to say:
"There will be a mini convention in our house on november 11, and everybody is welcome. Free dining and lodging, and perhaps most importantly: a free exclusive figure for anybody who attends.
A little known fact is that stunticon drag strip was actually based on the 1976 Tyrrell P34 six-wheeler formula one car. Considering drag strip's diaclone prototype heritage, this real world colour scheme is long overdue. There will be less than 15 figures produced, and as previously mentioned, it is completely free. Here's the prototype and tech spec + bio. It will come in a G1 style box. Robot mode and an extended "universe" style bio will be unveiled at the "mini-con"

DECEPTICON DOWNFORCE
FUNCTION: INTERCEPTOR
"Only unity and a strong leader can maintain order"
DOWNFORCE no longer speaks with his brother MIRAGE after defecting to the Decepticons for ideological reasons. Uses extreme speed to flank enemies on the battlefield. Holo-displacer allows him to project two images of himself to deceive his opponents. Wields a rapid fire armor-piercing dart handgun when he gets in range. Is often hesitant to carry out the brutality expected from MEGATRON.
STRENGTH 6
INTELLIGENCE 8
SPEED 9
ENDURANCE 4
RANK 6
COURAGE 5
FIREPOWER 6
SKILL 8

so whaddaya think?
and before you ask: YES, I hope this can be the first part of a 5-member combiner team. One combiner member per mini-con.
In case any of you want to re-sell the figure, it will include a certificate of authenticity from all the mini-con attendants. Just in case anybody tries to do a replica. Although that will be a difficult thing to do :)
The other "carrot" for this get-together is that this will be the first time a complete collection of Japanese transformers that were ever commercially available will be on display. No, Tony Preto's collection wasn't complete :P Besides, this is 95% mint in box. There will also be various presentations on aspects of transformers history - told from a nordic perspective."

Brian Savage of the Transformers Collectors Club has sent out an update to all members:
: |
Hello Club Member!
Many of you have been asking if there is anything leftover from
BotCon. In a couple of words...not much.
We have now shipped everything to everyone that pre-ordered them and we
are down to the reserve figures we left here.
We have just put into the store the last 38-boxed sets. There are no
loose sets left, no souvenirs left, and currently we are planning to
re-order some T-shirts, as there are not any of them left either. There
are a couple of the zippered hooded jackets , hats, posters and the
comic book and that is it. (Watch for the cover variant next month at your
local comic book shop and in our store.)
So you can order what you like however, if someone tries to get an
excessive amount (our discression) we will reduce the number they can
receive. We want as many folks to get these at the offering price as
possible.
For next year, you should really try to attend the show. Being in
Providence will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
If you can't make it next year, you need to pre-order early to ensure
you get the figures!
Thanks for your support!
