It appears that it is that time once again my friends to celebrate the beginning of another New Year! However, this time around "It is the year 2005 ...", something that once seemed so distant yet is now a matter of 8 hours away here in the Central timezone.
While this year certainly had its share of drama, 2004 will remain an incredible year as we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Transformers. 2004 brought us more Alternators, more news about the upcoming Transformers movie from Dreamworks, more kickass comic books from Dreamwave, the return of Beast Wars in Japan, the cross-over line called Robot Masters, a pretty awesome contest and Transformers game from Atari, another awesome summer of Transformers conventions worldwide, some incredible reissues such as Stepper and Predaking, and so much more that it is hard to keep track of all of the cool things from the past year. And I have a very, very strong feeling that 2005 won't be any different.
On a more personal level, I would like to say that I think I did a pretty damn good job of accomplishing my goals for the site from
my New Year's statement last year about this time. If you take a look at that article, you'll see that I talked about a "
HUGE ASS image gallery" of the Transformers. I think by posting a total of
404 galleries in the past year was quite an accomplishment. This site went from having only a small handful of crappy galleries to one of
the largest Transformers toy galleries on the entire Internet.
In addition to the massive number of galleries added to this site, I also set out to truly make 2004 the "Year of the Toys" on the site by adding an official
Transformers Toy Sightings section that features a slew of
retail store chains as well as a
Store Locator for residents of the US.
Toy galleries and Toy Sightings not enough for you? How about the recently launched
Free-Style Transformers Toy Reviews section? This will be the hot new feature on the site over the course of the next few months as more and more people start to use this new section. The Free-Style method allows you to add a review that suits your personal needs.
But enough about things from 2004. What's in store for 2005? Well, I don't really know yet. Glyph has been hard at work on the Heavy Metal War game. The ability to add Free Style Reviews for the cartoon episodes will be launched shortly. I really, really want to start up the screen captures once again, especially now that all of G1 and Beast Wars is completely available on DVD. And of course, I plan on continuing making more galleries of the figures on the site. Primus knows there's a ton more for me to photograph.
On that note (and after realizing that I'm rambling), I want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year! I think 2005 has a ton of exciting possibilities for both the fandom and this site. Remember, don't drink and drive!
Sincerely,
Ryan and the staff of SEIBERTRON.com

Just a friendly reminder to our Canadian visitors that YTV will be airing two episodes of Energon during their Anime-nia block
as was reported last week. According to
their online schedule, the episode scheduled to be broadcast at 7:30pm PST is "Ambition", which most likely means that the episode to be broadcast at 7:00pst is "Unicron Perishes".

P. Prime of 2005 recently received Alternators "Battle" Ravage, but the license plate has been changed to only say "RVG" instead of "BTLRVG". This is fantastic news indeed! More than likely, all shipping Ravages will have this change, as the "BTLRVG" plate was only a test model.

Gonzino.com, the sister site of Gonzo.com (the official site of the animation house behind Galaxy Force), has added a section dedicated to the latest transformers animation series, which can be viewed
here. There's not much content right now, but sections of the site dedicated to other shows feature interesting stuff such as flash games and character profiles, so it could be one to watch!

Another Galaxy Force figure review has arrived, this time featuring one of the early favourites of the line,
Starscream. It looks as if some of you may be disappointed however, as the figure seems to have a number of failings. Check out the review

We've all heard the rumors. We've heard that Dreamwave is filing for bankruptcy. We've heard that Dreamwave has
already filed for bankruptcy. We've heard that the company still has not renewed the Transformers comic book license. We've heard that the company went into receivership shortly before their holiday break. We've even heard that the company has already gone out of business.
What we have not heard is anything official from Dreamwave or Hasbro. Even though what we've heard so far seems to spell doom for Dreamwave's run as the producer of Transformers comic books, it's been almost, if not entirely, unofficial. The sad truth is that, it will probably only remain that way for another few days. Safe money is that the next press release sent we read from Dreamwave will inform the public at large that the company will no longer be providing fans with new Transformers comics.
However, remember that you're reading the Seibertron.com rumors page, and if time has proven one thing, it's that Professor Smooth has been wrong before. I'm sure that I'm not the only one hoping I'm wrong again.

OTFCC is dead. In its place stands something new. As of January 2005, Fun Publications Inc will in charge of holding the
International Transformers Collectors Convention, the
ITFCC. This means that the same people who are famous for their spectacular GI:Joe conventions will be delivering the official Transformers convention as well. They will also replace the Official Transformers Collectors Club with the International Transformers Collectors Club. Forgive the pun, but it looks like, in 2005, the
I's have it!
