Marvel Crossovers Wave 1 Available in Canada!

They had one Animated Blitzwing at Oakville TRU, which I picked up, so now there are none. There was nothing else of interest there, just lots of the same things that have been out for a while.

Anyways, I went down there yesterday to pick up my photo from the Star Wars charity thing, and they didn't have anything new, aside from having Universe Storm Cloud, which surprised me, because they had Powerglide the week before. Isn't it a bit early to be engaging in repaint mode?*

* = Yeah, I know that the Voyagers (Blaster, Heavyload and Dropshot) are repaints, but they're not repaints of figures already in the line. I know Sideswipe is incoming, too, but at least he's a retool. Partially.

So I dropped into WalMart after work to look for Blades. Looked like they just filled, but after checking, no Blades. Then I looked all around. Finally, after loosing all hope, I look up(way up) to find Blades perched high atop a ton of other universe boxes. Yay!

Anyone else ever have an experience like that?

Also tomorrow I'm gonna give the toy manager a call to see if/when they'll have their exclusives.

To top off what probably was the roughest day of my life, I stopped off at Haney Place Mall to check out the Zellers and what they had there. Guess what I found there?

Two shelves full.

And some others on top of the shelf.

Oh, and some Premium Movie Leaders, Animated Wave 3, two Powerglides and Two Onslaughts. But considering I was steamed up over finding DSS, I kinda didn't pay too much attention to that.

The only thing that kept me from having a meltdown right there in the store was the fact that I get paid tomorrow, and have plenty of time to stop by and pick one up before I go to work.

$64.99 CAD for Unicron! This is only $5 more than Leader Class. When he came out in Armada he cost $79.99 or $89.99 didn't he? Some serious price reductions here with the stronger dollar.

You can say that again! I saw a post on Cybertron.ca explaining that Unicron was priced at $65, but it wasn't until your post that my brain went >doink< and I understood what a deal he is.

Now to pull together the cash and wait!

I'll be doing my scouting later this week, and I'll tell you guys if I see anything new on the South Shore of Montreal.
