As the Netherlands and Belgium are still in wave 1-4 of Combiner Wars, and not even the whole waves available, and in wave 1 of Titans Return, also very sparingly, this won't happen very soon I'm afraid... :'(
I've spotted ONE shop that has Wheelie, Stripes and the tank legend (Frenzie? Rumble?), Galvatron, and another shop has Blaster and Soundwave and the four wave 1 Deluxes.
And they asked €15,99 for Wheelie... Chrissakes... Online you may have more luck, but those sell out fast.
Question though: Bombshell was a C.W. Legend. Kickback is a T.R. Legend. What's Shrapnel going to be?
And why did they make Chop Shop into a C.W. Legend, but not the other 3 (formerly Deluxe) G1 insecticons?
In both series, the Legends don't seem to really be "part" of the gimmick:
- in C.W. they didn't all combine, with the exception of the Blackjack/Rodimus mold, the Groove Legend mold, and the three guns (Shockwave, Bombshell, umm the red airplane?) and I really think only Shockwave was a good gun option.
The rest was just a seperate robot (Warpath, Chop Shop, the seeker guy (skywarp?), some cars/trucks etc)
- in T.R. they aren't headmasters.
So most of these seem to be a seperate line of robots, which makes me wonder why they chose to put some in the CW line and others in the TR line. Especially splitting up groups like the insecticons.
In the end it might not matter at all, since they seem to be seperate like I said, and they are all the same size, it's just a bit weird.

Shrapnel was actually a Legends class in the line before Combiner Wars; Thrilling 30.

Chop Shop's a new head redeco of him, hence why Chop Shop gets a toy and his comrades don't.
Every legend in TR actually interacts with the gimmick - the headmasters can sit in their vehicle modes or have some other form of interaction. Kickback in particular has the Titan Master stand in his cockpit in beast mode.

No, that was Kickback. Shrapnel, as "Skrapnel", came out after Generations FOC during Generations Thrilling 30.Bumblebee21 wrote:shrapnel is already out he came out in foc

Shrapnel, as Skrapnel, was a Thrilling 30 release.
Because Chop Shop was an easy retool of Skrapnel while the other deluxe Insecticons would require new molds.
What do you mean? The CW legends that didn't combine had the very important job of "making the combiners look huge and not getting stepped on". They sell the scale.
But seriously, the entire Generations line is rebranded even if not all figures fit into the gimmick. That's just how it is. Don't think too hard about it, just enjoy the cool toys.
No, but they are vehicles for Titan Masters. Every TR Legends figure has a cockpit or at least some posts for a Titan Master to sit in/stand on, which is more than CW did.
Hasbro wants to diversify what's available in each line, which means spacing out distinctive characters like the purple insect transformers. And if they hadn't spaced them out, we wouldn't get Kickback with a cockpit for Titan Masters, which is pretty darn cool.

Thanks everyone for all the explanations!
He had an opening chestplate in G1 too
and so did the other 2 IIRC. It's cool that it fits titanmasters now though.

It's important to note also that Hasbro's model is dictated by their buyers (the retailers) price point rules, so Legends fill the slot of a lower price point.
Also Legends are just a cool class of fun toys!
And if you get REAL creative, you can combine most Legends with the Combiners. You just gotta BELIEVE!

I know, it was a holdover from their days as Diaclone piloted mechs, so it's cool that at least one of them gets it back in their modern toys.

Next time either use the "Report this post" button (you have insinuated to me that you know how to use it, and using it doesn't have to be because it's a rule violation, it could be for this exact reason) or just don't make such a pointless post.

Through TFW2005 user burrociano, we have some rather exciting news that Titans Return Deluxe Brainstorm and Platinum Combiner Wars Liokaiser have both been spotted in the retail chain Ripley in Chile. This is their first sighting outside of Walgreens and Entertainment Earth respectively; and indeed, outside of America - perhaps foreshadowing retail release elsewhere in the world. Feel free to chat about Liokaiser in the Combiner Wars thread, or the resurrection of Braingate in the Titans Return thread in the Energon Pub!

And, for the record, if you zoom in on Brainstorm...

You see he's standing on Alpha Bravo packaging; AB being the favourite of Va'al who popularised Braingate. We've come full circle.

I wonder if Hasbro is pondering the idea of the *Deluxe Insecticon Barrage made from Titans Returns Kickback ?
*(Don't get confused as I said Deluxe it's what he was called 30 or so years ago).
------
I was wondering does TR Rumble still have those arms that don't transform without scaring you that they want to snap off ?
I think they should fix them if they ever get around to doing Eject & Frenzy too.
I'm a little concerned that Titans Returns is going to have more incomplete sets than any Transformers line in history as it is.

I'm pretty sure an alternate head is built in already, "just in case". In fact, Bombshell may have one too.
You did get names mixed up: the grasshopper is Ransack, and the rhinoceros beetle is Barrage. If Chop Shop did well enough in popularity (he got two releases already!), the rest shouldn't be far behind. Too bad there's no analog for Venom the cicada (by the by, they don't sting at all!).
