Btw, you guys noticed how Blitzwing's jet mode kibble is extremely reminiscent of his G1 toy's? Looks pretty similar, don't ya think?

Blitzwing is a seeker in the movie, and they all have that body type. He's not a triple changer in the movie, so the tank toy is kinda just for fun. As for why they went with Blitzwing for the Starscream looking guy, the world may never know

Would go well in Purple with SS Starscream and SS Thundercracker. To complete the traditional Seekers in Movie form, each with their own unique altmode.

Whoa, I’m really digging that Ironhide! I really like the design, very movieverse but with a little G1 flair to it. Never too much movie Ironhide!

I haven’t picked up any of the Energon igniters outside of the speed series, but I’m wondering if I should get the power series Camaro Bee (without the core). We don’t get nearly enough Bumblebees with his battle mask and shoulder launchers!

The last knight? The movie under performed and people lost interest quickly so stores didn't stock the latter waves.

Yaaaaaaaawnnn... it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get excited about any of the official Bumblebee movie toys. The real shame too is that the Takara exclusive Legendary Optimus is one of the best toys out this year, but nobody stateside will see it or appreciate it without searching it out online.

They should have just leaned forward with some solid Studio Series releases (Dropkick was really pretty great, but REALLY should have been a voyager). Nobody will remember Energon Ignitors in a years' time. These things will all be at discount retail early this year, as NONE of them are moving on local shelves here (and they are taking space that needs to open up for Siege/SS; don't even get me started how the last waves of PotP just fizzled and never materialized here).

There are a lot of podcasts out there that need to come to grips with how meh this movie was. Even though it had more heart than all the Bayverse combined, that was still a pretty ham-fisted attempt at Spielbergianism.

Not exactly what I was expecting for Soundwave but definitely digging the rock n roll 80s van! So far I've only been able to claim the Target Exclusive reissue of Soundwave as the official one from the movie. I'll probably bend the rules and claim Siege Shockwave and Soundwave as me. lol

Chuck, IIRC Hasbro themselves have said that the TLK toyline actually did fairly well. Yes, most of the Wave 1 Deluxes shelfwarmed for a good bit, but I think that's more because they were not exactly the best assortment - Bumblebee was the wrong body, Slash (while better-colored than the AoE release) was still a toy-only character, and Berserker (who shelfwarmed the longest) was someone who did nothing but dangle in jail briefly. And they didn't really have any sort of gimmick to make up the lack of appeal.

Acolyte, where the smeg have you been that the Bumblebee Movie toys have been present while there are no pegs and shelf slots reserved for Studio Series? Or that Bumblebee toys have been crowding into those spaces? Everywhere I've been has had the Studio Series spaces perfectly intact, and the Bumblebee toys (most of which fall under "Cheaper and with a kid-appeal gimmick) are at a shelf density that suggests they're shifting healthily while also being re-stocked. I would imagine that the Bumblebee line has priority for re-stocking - it's being actively promoted by a recently-released movie after all.

And the last wave of PotP did not "fizzle and never materialize". I saw it, and I saw the revision waves including plenty of Moonracer (although my budget for that trip went mostly to gifts for cousins so I couldn't get one).

SS Prime is coming. We just saw that reveal a week or 2 back. Frankly, it looks good, and if we werent getting Siege Prime at the same time I would be all over the Bee Prime, but they pretty much check all the same boxes with different styles, so I am less apt to get it.

Tf Fan Rob contacted us to let us know that after seeing us post about the new Bumlebee Ratchet toy, he just had to get it and make a review. As I'm sure you may know, there is a new jet Blitzwing in the Nitro size class, with, well, a movie accurate head sculpt. But, today, we have what may be a new variant. As I'm sure you also may remember, Blitzwing from the Animated show had three faces, something unique to that version. Well, this upcoming Blitzwing figure has a possible new variant, based of a mix of the original, and the crazy face, from the Animated version. This was found from a "Ken Adrian" on Facebook, though it appears to be from a closed group. However, User:FigureGunplaFan did upload it to TFWiki.net. Superb!

Now I've got that out of my system, that's an awesome homage. Though I will say I'm a bit sad we're not now going to get a movie with Blitzwing in where he either has the face changing thing or has three heads.

I think this face would actually be a good substitute to the original if he had this feature in the movie.
