I've been lurking amidst the board for a while now, and I've seen it said that low level weapons arent up to much. Is there any distinction between them though? All the stats seem to indicate that they are all the same, so is it merely a matter of style?

Plus I'm under the impression that physical weapons have their damage linked with strength. Is this really the case?

Also, I was just watching a countdown for the end of an arena battle and I started thinking about armour. Is it worth it on a level 0 character? I have a bot with 4 strength so he could wear 4 tonnes of iron. Would this have an appreciable effect on his effectiveness?

ALL weapons are effected by strength, a knock-on effect of the way the game was originally programmed. As for more info, im sure people will be around with some stats for you soon enough.

EDIT: If you have the strength, its always worth putting the armour on.

As with most things you can tell the good ones because they're out of stock. X-Ray Lasers and Distruptor Rifles are fast recharging and you don't need any stats to use them BUT they are sold out and your only hope of getting any is to go begging to other players with spares. RobotinDisguise might have some see here

As regards to strength boosting weapons damage -yeeeess it does happen but not too well at the lower levels.
E.G. 3 STR does more damage alone than X-ray lasers and 3 STR.

Aha, just what i wanted to know, cheers guys. I'm not great at begging for stuff, I find I tend to just say things like "Go on, you know you want to." and "I'll be your friend" So i might give that a miss

I work for a Medical Scanning Company - I only like 'em when they shoot things! Perfect n00b weapon though.

I have to say thanks to these guys who have been willing to put their weapons up for sale. I personally have recently acquired a disruptor rifle I don't need, so PM me if you fancy it.

are you a poor con? worried a certain weapon will sell out before you can afford to buy one? want me to stockpile weapons for you? just name the weapon, the quantity, and the date you predict you'll be able to take the weapon off my hands(after all, i don't want to simple stock pile weapons needlessly).
