Via the regular channels, and by that we mean Weibo users, we have a first look - though not too much in detail - at the box art for the upcoming Generations Titan class Trypticon, along with Titan Master Necro and the smaller sized Full-Tilt, making the Decepticon set a one purple space t-rex army! Check it out below.

Some users have rightly pointed out that this seems to differ from the first look at the art, which we saw here. Let us know what you make of the additions in the Energon Pub!

I have a feeling this wont be priced $149.99 at all and wind up being $179.99 or $199.99

Relax, the price hikes are only for the Movie lines at the moment, and there's no way Hasbro can raise the MSRP for other lines mid-line. Wait until Power of the Primes. ;)

I got the TLK Deluxes at my local Walmart for $15.78 plus tax (can't remember the change but it was definitely under $16 a piece). The other deluxes I bought online I was able to get for about the same after 20% off at HasbroToyShop.

Please buy him folks! At full price to give Hb incentives to green light Scorponok! If you buy him on sale, less money for Hb means no more new toys for us! :-P

ExVee's scoop on some of Trypticon's prototype/mock ups

The image according to "E" is said to be made up of parts from Metroplex/Fortmax to see if another "recycle the part trois" could be done with the cityformers class.

And given that Trypticon is a bad guy, it" seems" Hb/Takara focused a lot of original parts on him (at least until it can be validated with the final release). Bad guys in the original 1980s G1 series just like G.I. Joe were feared to not sell as much as the good guys. So this is quite an investment.

wasn't he already rumoured for the next line
Besides the retail stores are the ones that buy the product at cost then we buy it at a markup so hasbro will make their money anyway
The only way they would not is if stores stop buying them

Yes exactly. Do not feel forced to buy these toys at full price if you dont want to. And toys have a 2 year cycle, so it impossible for the sales figures of trypticon to effect them making scorponok or not since production the next titan figure will already have been done before trypitcon hits the shelves.

Yeah, his argument of: 'buy it or no more titan class figures' has always been full of sh|t, and any post he makes about it should just be ignored.

Buy it, or don't, if you do choose to buy it, buy it at a price you feel it merits, simple as that.

A product of a one track mind unwilling to hear the opposing view 8-} Typical mindset by the safe spaces participants in UC Berkely, you don't like what you hear, you destroy and name call/insult!   Btw, why'd you not ignore it with the block button if my post is just full of it?

If the retailers stop buying the stuff from Hb because y'all just wait for a price drop removes the incentive to make new products. Just read one quote from Bob Budiansky when at the tail end of the G1 cycle back in the 90s same conditions happened.

Stores weren't buying anymore. Hasbro can sell TF all they like at cost and the retailers are the ones marking up. Well, if you don't meet your profit margins well let's see how much stock you can move in to retail anymore.

Plain and simple economics. No demand, no more attempts to sell. Eco 101. :-B Might as well say, buy 3rd party

You knowitall bellyachers want to rant against a certain part of a toyline which this site is said to advocate yet later buy the item at cheap. Fine. It's a bargain. Human nature. But you still buy them. If its such a poor quality item, then why waste cash on it at all? Just admit it you can't buy them full price. That's just a subconscious reaction y'all don't wanna admit.

Btw Burn, I thought someone put me on the ignore list? See? Quality really has gone down.

but they are anticipating trypicon will sell well just like metroplex devastator and fortress maximus, otherwise they would abandon the titan class altogether so they will most likely release more titan class, the only reason the g1 line didn't sell well in the 90s because it had been a long running toy line and it was getting tiresome and uninteresting and everyone was not into it anymore until beastwars breathed new life into it

Eco 101

Boom and bust cycles. That is reality. Happened to the videogame industry too. What's to say it won't happen again?

Btw, see the images by Exvee? It's like a repeat what happened to Optimus Maximus. To pitch it and show the corporate suits that bigazz figs will sell, the former was made of chopped up parts of DotM Ark parts. It was like a trial balloon. It must have sold good.Good. For Trypticon, it seems they did it again, comparing if the same amount of materials can fit on a new product (not including the features of course)

If this info I got is accurate, revise the percentage application to HB because it is a much bigger company

manufacturing cost: Depends on item, but ~55% of selling price will be the production fee (including prototype charge)

units have you (manufacturer) manufactured of different items? MOQ 3,000-5,000 pcs. If too cheap item, 10,000 pcs is necessary.

How many units do you need to sell to be profitable? if over 3,000 pcs, nearly all items we can start to get profit

Trypticon should fall somewhere here to give Hb the incentive to make another.

Yet I'm being called full of sh_t by a STAFF no less for advocating to support a Hasbro product? I'd expect that from Rated X and other 3rd party advocates to take a swipe but from 2 STAFF no less?

We all need to have a bit of faith that hasbro will give us what we want and for me they have been doing alright for the last decade I would certainly do my part and but what I can and hope everything goes as planned for the future of upcoming figures

I don't know if it was ever confirmed, but I think the supposition is that Hasbro has designed all of these titans back when they had the "contest." Since it is presumed that Omega and Scorponok were at least through the design phase, it makes sense for Hasbro to continue and make their money off of the design work. Which one is next is anybody's guess, unless someone has insider info for us.

Which would be nice... (hint hint) :D

In the meantime, I would love to see some more Trypt pics, as well as a pre-order. I need to know what I will be saving up for, and when.

You could have taken the higher road yourself, but no, you resorted to implied insults, you resorted going off-topic to once again shove your thoughts about economics down our eyeballs.

That goes for everyone else. Keep it about Trypticon.

That's Takara Legends, right? BBTS does have a preorder up for him, but I would like to see a Hasbro preorder at BBTS (or TFsource or one of the American online retailers or Ages 3 and Up or Toys R Us or.... Yeah, I need my coffee... >:oP )

While this is technically (allegedly) the Takara Tomy Legends LG-43 Dinosaurer figure, we're choosing to show it in the Titans Return Trypticon thread on account of it being a good look at the new Titan class figure and to give breathing space to all the Godbomber news!

With that over, take a look at this brief video showing the features of the Decepticon t-rex (though not the transformation) and Full-Tilt and Titan Master Necro!

It would have been sweetness had they painted Trypticons eyes just like his G1 counterpart. Full tilt looks freakin' awesome.

Damnation it sucked looking at that video realizing how long we have to wait until the release. :BANG_HEAD: :VEHI:

Isn't he coming out mid June like Devastator and Fort Max did?

Hopefully so. Tryp and Overlord are my most anticipated figures this year which is saying a lot with all that's been released under the TR line this year.

Va'al wrote:While this is technically (allegedly) the Takara Tomy Legends LG-43 Dinosaurer figure, we're choosing to show it in the Titans Return Trypticon thread on account of it being a good look at the new Titan class figure and to give breathing space to all the Godbomber news!

With that over, take a look at this brief video showing the features of the Decepticon t-rex (though not the transformation) and Full-Tilt and Titan Master Necro!

how the f did he get that so early :-?

Probably going to wait until the holidays to pick up my Trypticon. Hopefully it will be on sale, but it is on a definite buy list for me.

Hey guys, I noticed something odd about this release: the name is rendered as ダイナザウラー dainazaurā, instead of ダイノザウラー dainozaurā. Which one was the correct one again?

The former.

ダイノザウラー "Dainozaurā" is what the one from Scramble City was called. The rest of his appearances (and toys) used ダイナザウラー "Dainazaurā".

We have some news not of the best kind for Australian fans, concerning Titans Return Titan class Trypticon - and Full Tilt with Titan Master Necro: retailer BigW has posted a listing on their site, stating the price for the figure at 298 AUSD (225 USD). However, not all is lost, as there are rumours of the figure also being part of this year's toy sale for the retailer, meaning the price might adjust to other international markets (150 USD RRP, to be specific).

The biggest Decepticon ever made is back with this awesome Transformers Titans Return Trypticon Figure! Trypticon . The towering T-Rex converts between 3 different modes: dino, spaceship, and city. When the figure is in city mode, it connects to Titans Return Leader Class figures (each sold separately) to form the giant Nemesis Command. When the figure is in T-Rex mode, it can "eat" Titan Master figures: Trypticon can chomp them down, then you can open his stomach to get them out. Comes with a Deluxe Class Full-Tilt figure and a Titan Master Decepticon Necro figure.

Online price
$ 298.00

Hot on the heels of the unfortunate retail price ($298 AUSD) for Titans Return Titan class Trypticon, Australian fan site Ozformers also confirms that the big purple Decepticon t-rex is in fact starting to crop up in physical BigW retail stores too! The sighting news also reiterates that the item may be discounted in the June sale for the chain, so if you can wait, it might be worth it. Check out the images below, and make sure to flag up this or any other sighting in our database!

We were tipped off yesterday that the very awesome Trypticon toy had now arrived in Australia, and that it was on its way to stores... well, we now have photo proof of Trypticon at a BigW store.

Just be aware that this toy is likely to be in the June toy sale at BigW later this month, so stores may hold onto it out the back until then... but, you might find it available for purchase at those stores that do put them straight out as soon as they get it.

Pretty high considering they had Fort Max for a while if I remember correctly. Although he is for pre-order elsewhere already, if you really want to jump on him.
